MBRP can or Snostuff

I have a stock 09 600 rmk and am in between putting an mbrp can or a snostuff. Looking for pros and cons. Want your opinion on what is a better can for the sled, or a better made product.

Why are you not considering the HPS or SLP cans? They receive the most positive comments on here.

i have an MBRP can on my 06' rev and i was really considering putting an HPS can on it (instead), UNTIL i went sledding TODAY to "mirror lake" with my buddy and i personally ended up likin it a lot! its a little more throaty than the HPS but once you get on it, it almost sounds the exact same as an HPS in my opinion (for what its worth). i had an HPS can on my old sled and i think it was a little louder but i think the HPS cans are more expensive???
however, i think they do get a TON of positive feedback like 'MORSNOW' said.

i have both the sno stuff and mbrp on two different sleds. the mbrp is a bit louder and has a nicer tone. it is also a bit smaller and lighter.

I have the Snostuff and It is LOUD! It does sound cool but when you are WFO it will make your ears ring. I am actually going to replace it with a SLP Pipe/Can to help keep the noise down a little.

I see you are in Colorado, with that said it is a good idea to get an SLP. Next year Colorado will have noise ordinance enforcement. Heavy fines/tickets are going to be issued. I have not heard the sno stuff but it sounds too loud. I know hte MBRP is too loud. I am not sure about the HPS.

I do know that the SLP will pass which is why I am planning on getting it.

I have the Skinz super quiet on my 09 D8 let me say this my buddy has the HPS can its loud but the super quiet is louder. should have listened to Paul at Sled Solutions and got the ultra quiet. The welds on the sno stuff look like you gave a 4 year old the filler rod for the tig and let em go to town just really crappy welding and workmanship. The Skinz, HPS, and SLP are high quality made pieces. Just depends on if you wanna slide under the radar or hafta dodge the radar.

Skinz super Q sounds sweet, nice throaty sound. Makes you feel like you got a lot of power till you look down and see your going 30. lol:D

I ran the Ultra Q on my 09 Shift and LOVED it. I already bought a new one for my 2010 Assault. SLP is quiet and tingy... Ultra Q gives a deep throaty sound that I love. If your going for LOUD i recommend the Super Q, MBRP, and Jaws. I have heard that the sno-stuff can is junk and the mbrp is super loud... that is why i tried the Ultra Q and I wouldnt have it any other way. I have heard good things about the HPS can too..

Ultra Q here as well. Nice tone, it sounds piped without being obnoxious. Skinz does flow and sound testing on their stuff. The Q is tested to the same DB requirements as stock sleds have to meet.
I've run SLP on sleds before without any complaints.
I'm not much for excessively loud like what Snostuff is known for. Sorry, I don't know much about the MBRP products either.
I know HPS does have quite a few fans around here.

I have ran HPS on my last 3 sleds. Very nice tone, not obnoxious and Scott at HPS is very good to deal with and helpful.

What?

I run a hps can on my 600 when it is deep and steep. All other times I run the stock muffler. The HPS is just to loud for trails. Once you lose your hearing you don't get it back, ever.
I have also tried the dynoport can and the sound was tolerable, but it is only a couple of pounds lighter so I don't see the point. I use it on the 700.

Back to the hearing loss thing. My oldest kid is 18 and I am not going to spend $300.00 so he can go deaf. Me maybe, but not him.
What, what, what, huh, what?

:beer;;)

^^^^ Exactly, Why would you spend 3 bones to have something that adds 0 performance besides saving a few lbs, most times actually loses hp and makes it loud as hell.

The HPS while it doesn't have a rep for losing hp, is on the loud side. The SnoStuff I will bet $$ will lose hp as well as the MBRP. They don't provide enough back pressure to work with your stock pipe. 2 strokes aren't like a 4 stroke in that more flow is always better, your exhaust must have correct back preassures and tuning to perform well.

The SLP sheds some weight, doesn't rob hp, and is about the same sound level as stock but with a good tone to it.

I've heard the same on the Skinz as well but have no experience with it.

The snostuff is junk. Poor performance. No gain other than a lighter wallet. Noisy as heck and the welds suckes. They are just poor quality..Dont waste your money.

There are many other viable options from companies that actually do at a minimum flow testing.

The Skinz is first rate quality and they are a great company to do business with. SLP is also another good quality choice etc.
