Maximum allowable engine rpm

8050-8150 is what i shoot for for stock sled. anything much over that your losing HP fast

You need to add heavier weights to the drive clutch.
You're at a pretty low elevation.
I'm guessing some where around 76 gram weights, maybe even more than that??

Order adjustable weigths.. i ride on sea level and now i have 77g and still it goes over 8200rpm..

Greg from Jaws Pipes says 8500 on a Cat is like 8000 on other sleds. He said it’s because of how skookum and how they are engines are designed.

MDS adjustable weights! They pull like a freight train. Talk to Tom. He will hook you up.

I see the maximum power at 8000-8200 at dyno-test video

after 8200 the power drops sharply and at 8500 it should be very low. I think maybe this is a measurement error?

It's not a measurement error, it's a two stroke.
exactly what kid says, power drops off hard after peak RPM. order a set of adjustable weights (i love my MDS clutching) and tune it for your elevation. call steve at MDS 509-899-0605 and he will set you up
