I understand what comes with the basic Spring surge MPI kit. Could you provide some clarity as to what's available on your upgrade packages?
I think that you call it stage I, II, III. Will they be available for Sno-checks?

The upgrade options are as follows:<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

Stage 1 $1500.00- Will include an intercooler that will be a direct replacement to the original air box, high boosts waste gate, and head shim. The head shim is optional for those who want to run on pump gas. This upgrade will allow you to turn the boost up to 10-12 psi (220-230hp).

Stage 2 $3000-3500- Will include a new Mitsubishi 19T turbo, intercooler with weldments for a set of extra injectors, high boost waste gate, billet blow off valve, head shim, fuel pump, fuel controller. This kit will be 290HP. The new turbo will bolt right onto all of the original turbo mounting location.

<O:p</O:pSo the best thing to do is to start with the base Yamaha kit and build from that.

<O:p</O:pOther options included the light weight muffler. $279.95. But I will be offering a "ONE" time snow check exchange program. If you give us a $100 deposit before the end of April I will allow you to exchange the factory muffler for the light weight muffler. As soon as I get yours back I'll send out the light weight version. This is a one time shot at the exchange program. If you don't do it by the end of April you'll need to purchase a new muffler with no exchange.

<O:p</O:pFuel pump upgrade $319.95 This will included a new in tank pump with all of the mounting hardware. We believe in using a 1:1 regulator with a fuel return style system. This fuel pump maybe necessary in boost over 6 psi and lower altitudes.

<O:p</O:pHead studs- $199.95. Head studs might not be necessary on lower boost set-ups but if your doing a head shim its a great time to do it.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
Prologger- This is a MPI made and designed product. This is an “all in one” gauge solution. It has ARF, Boost, RPM, and electronic boost control. We’ve had it out on sleds for years but we are making some improvements. Improvements include: simplified menus, direct plug and to the Viper, different mounting options.

<O:p</O:pAltitude compensating box. We’ve had this option for years with the Prologger be we are designing a stripped down version that’s just plug and play. You want 8 psi? It’s set at 8psi.

<O:p</O:pWe have other non-turbo accessories that we’re working on right now.
<O:p</O:p
Handle bar riser for the new steering column. Both a +2” and +4” height. Those are done and on the self now. $95 and $100.00

<O:p</O:pRadiator delete/ tunnel coolers- $??? We’re testing different size/designs right now. The steam off the radiator is bad. It has some effect on how the sled performs with the intake into the turbo. Plus we feel moving that weight from the very front of the sled to the rear can only help. The factory cooling systems works great but we think there is some benefits to moving it.

<O:p</O:pPlus some other stuff that I want to keep to us for now. But it’s going to be an exciting year. This sled is going to get Yamaha down the right track and we’re excited to be part of it. If anyone has questions about the kit or upgrades just give us a call.<O:p</O:p

So stage 2 kit still has warranty? 3000-3500 and do you exchange your smaller turbo and intercooler ? What fuel controller?

so if you do the stage 2, is the fuel pump in the stage 2 the upgraded fuel pump? and is the fuel controller the pro logger? or are those adds to the stage 2?
does the altitude compensator adjust the boost to keep the power the same with elevation change? and is that part of what the pro logger does or is that an add to the pro logger..

easier, I want 290- and a kit I don't have to adjust as I change elevations. what do I want to order to get it.. thanks julio

If we sno check a viper with turbo how are we supposed to exchange the muffler before end of April if we don't even have a kit yet?

I wouldn't count on factory warranty with anything over the base Yamaha kit. 3-3500 is the price for new parts. I don't have any plans of offering any type of exchange program. I might think about it? We are testing a few different fuel controllers but most likely it will be a PCV.

The stage 2 will include an upgraded fuel pump kit. The prologger is a all in one gauge set up. It also does electronic boost control or altitude compensation, whatever you want to call it.

I seem that my edited post did not go through, makes sense now

The reason is I don't want to do exchanges all year long, it becomes a nightmare. Plus it’s nice to know how many mufflers we need to build.<O:p</O:p

I got a chance to poke around the vipers in jackson hole on dispaly this weekend. The kit looks good! simple bolt on besides the intake hole. One sled that had panels where off had a gems fuel controller, 16t or 15t turbo from what I could tell not 100% so don't bash me if am off that part, stm primary weights and guessing a 47 degree helix and a yamaha black white on 1-6. all of them had the intakes coming out of the left side of the headlight and sticking up 6-8 inches which what i want to see so it doesn't bog in the deep snow. I think for the price you can't setup and factory warranty.
