Seeing all of the Woke complaints on this site and one of the experts telling us last spring that tunnel cut-clutched and suspensioned Axys would be just as good or better, where are all of the pics & videos of upside down and stuck Yamaha feeling Matryx’s with highliner Axys riders going by in the chop? One of my sled’s is still in shipping and I don’t want to make a mistake.

I don't think it's a huge difference. Seems a little snappier but the handling feels the same. However I've only ridden mostly stock Matryx so comparing it to a Axys with 6 k worth of crap on it. If I was poor there was definitely no reason to upgrade to a Matryx. It's not a Dragon going to a Pro. Burandt still built a buttload of Axys for customers this year.

It’s not night and day but its just a bit better, and when they come out with the next front end or shocks those will be better than the stuff they have this year. I have an awesome axys sled but I’m petty and jealous and I wanted to have the newest “hotness”

If your going to be a douche at least quote what I said properly.

Hind site is always 20/20 but if had it to do over again I would have ordered my daughter an axys instead of a matrix with a March ship date. I would've had the axys in October.

I think if my sled was not going to be delivered until March, I would back out of the purchase and just snow check a 2023.

The good (powder) riding ends in March around here.

FWIW, yammy SxS have had four OEM-dealer price increases since last summer, per dealer. Their guess is 20% snowcheck price increase for 2023 isn't out of the realm of possibility.

I think the matryx is a good bit better than axys. May just be the cut tunnel but feels like I can move my eyeballs and the sled goes where I'm looking. Axys takes a bit more effort. Feels like a comparable jump from a Pro to an Axys but I haven't ridden anything earlier so can't speak to that.

This is also the first time I would say a Polaris is easier for a beginner than a Ski Doo. Usually I say ride a Ski Doo til you get it then switch to Polaris once you're hooked.

I always thought doo was easier for new people but not anymore
Probably comparing 39 inch front end to a 36. I think doo needs to be a couple inches narrower to compensate for 16 wide track. Haven't rode 34 inch front end. Doo use to be heavier and ride lighter. Not anymore

Is it just a tad better than a tunnel cut-clutched and suspensioned Axys?

So you can have a March ship date on your 2023?
I doubt it, but who knows . . . we can always hope Polaris has their S*** together by then.

What your saying is correct but 23 snowcheck is unlikely to be any better and the sleds will cost significantly more just look at sxs price change in the last 2 months.
Might be the same sled, BUT a person usually loses $2k per year on a sled anyway.
I doubt the new one will cost $2k more even with an increase in price.
Which means you will be money ahead to bail on the 2022 and get the 2023 model year.
Just looking at it from a different angle . . .

Basically yeah. It just is better in every way. Ill explain it like this. Ford comes out with a new pickup, its has a few more foot pound of torque a few more features in the cab and so on, you notice its just a little bit nicer and a little more efficient maybe it pulls better but your old truck still does all of those things.

It’s basically like that. It’s just a little nicer and its cool because its new.

Biggest thing you notice is the tunnel and the panels. You notice it there. Other than that it feels like an axys. Which is awesome because I love the feel of my axys sleds.

^ great comparison, my thoughts as well
The running boards staying clean is one of the biggest things I’ve seen.

Otherwise ^^^^^^ is pretty close if talking naturally aspirated.

Will be testing 165 boost vs silber turbo 5# 162 Axys 800 as soon as I can. (Sea level to 3k)
