March 21, MORE PIX ADDED: POLARIS 2012: VIDEOS, DETAILS ... ALL IN ONE PLACE.

hey mountainhorse, has anyone just tried milling the stock head .030 to bring up the compression to what it would be at see level.I ride 8-9000 feet.

I for one like the new Canadian/American snowcheck Pro. Shows well going North or back South. EW

Is that your sled E-dub...

Who is that Skinny guy in the pic??
SWEET!!!.

Yep Yep, thats my buggy freshly wrapped by HTR Designs in Castlegar, BC. The wrap was provided by BCR and HTR following the group ride they sponsored up in Castlegar a few weeks back. I got the chance to show the crew around the West Kootneys for a day and met lots of great folks and had a weeks worth of laughs all in one day. Good times.

The skinny guy in the photo, well, that was a provided gift as well. Since my 3 day visit to Pacific Laproscopy things have been getting better and better. Imagine the combined rider/sled weight reduction since 2 years ago when I was 440lbs riding an Apex. lol. Makes the benefit of a light weight can seem a little shy.

Excellent work Mountainhorse, makes it so nice to find all the specs, colors, and reviews in 1 place:D:beer;

Slim, I know that there are aftermarket heads out there to bring up the compression....Not sure about milling the head, and you would also have to re-machine the squish band.

RMK_163... Polaris told me that they found the straight rails on the PRO chasss to be much more responsive and not pushing the front around like on previous models.

BTW... here are some more photos of the sleds... larger ones to come.

What is it that is bad about the carbon fiber bumper? Does it just break easily?

Mine fractured and splintered twice in 1200 miles. when you try to pick the sled up with bare hands you get slivers. Alot of guys changed theirs. I was waiting to see what the replacement would be, but apparently there isnt one....

Looks nice, but that doesn't sound very good at all. Does it break when you are riding it or break when you use it to get unstuck etc.?

I dont know actually, it may be snow and ice hitting it. it dosent break just sort of starts coming apart on the bottom. It is one of those little annoyances. they have replaced it on warranty whenever i bring my sled in for something else. It is the only problem I have had with the sled, so I am not complaining. you can search rear bumper. there were some threads at the beginning of the season on it.
