12+ Feet in the Last Week!

No need to pinch yourself, you haven't died and gone to heaven. It really is snowing some of the most epic storms of the season! Mammoth received another foot to foot and half of fresh just today! The snow isn't stopping anytime soon and multiple feet are expected through Sunday night! If you are too excited to do math, Mammoth received 5-8 feet last weekend and now another 3 to 4.5 feet of snow in the last 2 days. This makes 8 feet at the base lodges and over 12 feet near the top in just the last week!

All this incredible snow means the season isn't ending anytime soon and there's no better place to be than Mammoth for spring skiing and boarding! With the MVP passes going on sale April 1 you can take advantage of our spring (and summer) skiing starting May 1. For more details go to mvp.mammothmountain.com or call 800.MAMMOTH!

See you on the slopes!

Whats the annual snowfall..... then compare it to revelstoke:face-icon-small-hap

You might be disappointed to find out that currently here in California at Kirkwood Mountain Resort they already have a season total of 660 to 680 inches of snow with 222 to 265 inches on the ground still. Thats roughly 55 feet of snow over the season compared to Revelstoke's average of 40 to 60 feet of annual snowfall.

And don't forget either that the snow season here in California is much shorter than it is in Revelstoke.

insane

revy does get alot of snow, but they don't always get the most. 2 weeks ago north idaho got the most snow in one week according to the local ski resort. lookout has 184 inches or just over 15 feet. revy aint the only good snow place in north america. we will be riding for months.

I know... but revy has constantly rank deep stuff year after year. I read some ski mag a year ago that compared all the resorts and they talked about revy having a average of 720 inches. Glad you guys are having a blast and dont have to drive the 13 hours we do.

we are getting fresh snow right now. come on down, only 4 1\2 hours from new denver.

I talked to john up in revy. sounds like he is having a good winter.

and yet everyone thinks its all beaches here in cali!

16+ feet in the sierras in the past week!

He is either riding or skiing.... he always has a good winter:face-icon-small-win. Have you riden with him? If anyone doubts the xp they should watch him. I would put him against anyone in the trees.

Hey guys,
Mt. Baker, WA has the record for the most snow fall in the country I believe, and is said to have the most snow fall year after year from what I have read.

Pretty Crazy winter here in Cali. Thanksgiving we got 5-8 feet and had a fantastic early season. December was real good. January was almost non-existant with warm temps and almost zero snow into the first week or so of Feb. Since then it has been dumping with a good cold storm almost every other day. The most important part of that for us out here in Cali is COLD!!
We get a lot of precip, but it can be all rain until 8000ft some storms and just ruin whatever we had until then. This winter and for the last three weeks in perticular these have been cold and wet storms. This is pretty rare as we normally get wet and warm OR cold and dryer. With all that said, IMHO this is the best winter for snow out here in the sierras, that I have experienced in twenty years or so. A man named Silvertip will definitely be able to tell you more precisely how this winter stacks up! Not trying to start an argument, tell you how great the sierras are, tell you your area sucks, ect. Should be a great spring out here.
A friend Brett posted this today from his house off HWY 80 west of Truckee, Ca

I am good. 37" of new snow past 24hrs. SWE of 2.62" Snow depth 193" Blizzard/whiteout conditions all yesterday and last night. I am totally buried. 80 and all ski resorts closed this morning

7 day snow total 133"

24 degrees this morning and light snow

Willis is crazy it never snow's in Cail, and when it does snow it's only up real high! not worth riding here. I did here Utah has a lot of snow better check that place out.

Yea ...Cali never gets any snow.... better to ride somewhere else and leave me with the scraps I have to ride around Tahoe.

more snow

Here in Niesko they say we avarage around 600 inches a season, feels like it with the amount of snowclearing i do, anyways heres a little pic from last week
