Which gauges ?

I have a 03 800 VES engine in a 05 Polaris race chassis and I am looking at making my own engine management cluster.

I need the following gauges.

Tach with a settable redline
Temp
Exhaust Temp
Knock sensor
And it would be nice to have o2 sensor but im not sure if that’s possible

I would also like a speedometer and timer.

I have never really looked or cared about gauges. Most my engines were used and worth $500. My new engine is worth about as much as my sled so I plan on taking pretty good care of it. Also I am going to run the sled pretty leaned out for performance so I need to monitor it. I’m not a whiz mechanic and I haven’t been building sleds for 20 years. I also have terrible luck especially when it comes to snowmobiling and nice things so I really need a reliable easy to read system.

Also, used would be best as I am low on cash.

I GREATLY appreciate anyone’s impute and time. This is very important and I don’t have much time to get this thing set up so thank you to anyone who helps!

you will be very happy with the service and support...if you go to the guages for sale section etc you will see digitron directs thread...pm mark direct and he will answer any question you have...i am impressed with these guys...or just email him on the website...but yea you would be off to a good start..egt,tach water temp...etc..etc..

What are the best sensors to get?

I need a jackshaft sensor and EGT sensor. I don’t necessarily need the best sensors; preferably I would like to get something on the cheaper side.

Race Pack makes a didital gauge it's rather large but has all the function's that you want and it's pricy.

I am a dealer for Powertrain control solutions, and they make a Digital touch screen dash that will do everything you require and them some. They have made D200 for about 5 years but no one has marked them to snowmobilers.
I tested their water proof model last winter on 2 sleds and they work great. their customer support is great, as is mine. You can look at their products at www.powertraincontrolsolutions.com . The base D200 dash comes with 8 channel's, on board voltage, clock, and 2 speed inputs. So you could do MPH, TACH, air temp, water temp, left cyl egt, right cyl egt, pipe temp, oxygen sensor, throttle sensor, and knock sensor for example. If you needed more channels it can be expanded to more channels . You can set alarms,sample rates,and names for any of the channels. The D200 comes 2 MB on board data logging and on board playback. You can also download your data logs to a computer for more detail.
I installed one for LRD to test last winter. You can check with him for reference. It is an awesome product and once I get some out there and people see what they can do they will sell. So If you want to give a shot let me know. I will sell it to you for my cost, no B.S.
