Made in Mexico

I'm going to suggest that those among us who chase the cheapest sale price also share in the blame. I could have driven to one of those mega-dealers and saved a few hundred bucks on my last sled. But I didn't, knowing that the single sled I bought meant a whole lot more to my dealer than it did to the mega-dealer a couple hours down the road. Small dealers aren't all gone, but remember that you need to do something to help them out a little bit if you want to see them stay in business.

The person in the mirror

Well said! We "shoppers" are shooting ourselves in the foot. Always looking for the best "price", has forced suppliers to purchase at a lower price to remain competitive and maintain a certain "margin of profit" to keep the doors open. Which often means they must buy foreign made products because labor costs are much lower in other countries. It's a vicious and very unfortunate cycle, that is usually started by the one who you see in the mirror. That person also is the only one who can stop it.

Cheers!

Made where?

As I read the press releases it would look like all Polaris 2 stroke W/C snowmobile engines are made in USA and the sled is assembled in MN. All ski doo engines are made in Austria and the sled is assembled in Quebec.

It would appear the durability of all 2T engines bigger than 740cc is questionable for all the MFR's and would be susceptible to improvement!

Stay in school kids, they need some engineers!
