Search for "micro" or "micro-glass balloons" on the interwebs. Use it to fill in the blemishes (since they don't need to be structural).
You mix the micro with epoxy till it's about toothpaste consistency, then you can fill in your holes and sand it down nicely. It's like bondo, but it's much better for adhering to carbon. It sands real easily and after primer/paint, you can't tell.
ALWAYS wear a mask when working with micro (before it's mixed). The stuff is tiny balls of glass and it will NOT come out of your lungs if you inhale it.
