Wondering what our options were for local shops that can replate/machine top ends. my 2013 pro lost compression on the clutch side cylinder so looking at my options for getting a new top end.

Pretty much everyone goes through US chrome or Millennium tech for there cylinder plating, I can set you up if you like...

You can go directly to them if you like or we can take care of the shipping and handle it all for you, not much mark up but can save you a few bucks... Also they offer a exchange program, so if they have one ready to go there is no down time...

There is only a handful in the country, easy to find someone to bore a cylinder, it's the plating process that makes it specialized.

I was reading Millennium Tech's website...they state their Nikasil liner is far thicker and far more durable than factory linings and guaranteed for life.

Pretty darned good prices on mono blocks too.

Im gonna have to book mark them just in case.

Let a Known Shop take the lead

I have built about 20 Snowmobile engines.

I have 2 Carl's 685 sleds. Carl's supplies the
Pro X pistons.

When I rebuilt them I let Carl's run interference with Millennium Tech to be sure all was correct.

The new Pistons were sent along with the Jugs's to
Millennium, Carl's inspected everything when they were done.

I actually saved money doing this because they mass ship an get a far better deal than I could.

Do yourself a favor and put a doo motor in your pro. Been out 3 rides in a row and each one of them had a pro down. Not trying to stir the pot, but if you love to ride and hate being down..... Go Doo.
Ps.. I don't know anyone who like to tow sleds out
