m8turbo or m1000 turbo

Only 2 things that make the 8 more appealing:

1- The M1000 vibrates like a jackhammer
2- The M1000 is much harder on belts

If you can live with those 2 things, buy the M1000 and don't look back. If you can't, the M8 and don't look back!!

Plenty. A pg m1kt will walk away from a rg m8t.

yes and no...id give the RG8 a slight advantage if both are tuned well, but its really too close to care much for me....it really comes down to what you want and want you wannn pay, before/during/after you have these sleds

pump 1000
- cheaper pump fuel
- the 1000 vibs really turn me off, some hate it and some get over it
- im not sure the crank will ever be as trusty as the 8 is
- the lower boost of a pump 1000 is silky smooth on/off the throttle....i love this part!
- hard on belts, and they cost way too much!!!

RG 800
- costly fuel
- its no secret this engine will stay together longer then the 1000
- cheaper belts
-a bit easier to toss around
-knock sensor, the m1000 dont got one....check out the 10' 1000 it has the wiring for one....LMFAO! i guess they went to a common wiring harness for both engines??

Well if there bolth PUMP GAS turbo kits the M1000 will walk up and down the M8 if tuned properly. The M1000 also has a larger crank. If clutched right belts should not be a problem.

Thanks for the posts. I had a m8 pg last year and Eric at alpine is doing me a pump gas 1000 now! I never had the chance to compare my m8t to a turbo 1000 last year so I was just wondering... Just getting excited!!!!
