Can you run a timbersled intake or any other intake on a 09 m8 with a can and no fuel control, a friend was wondering and I am not sure. Just looking to loose weight.

yes you can and have no problems...i rode my 09 m8 with mbrp can, bikeman y pipe..the only thing i would add to the timber sled kit is some front nose vents..the more venting you do the better for everything.. this year i bought a rkt head and am running it with no fuel controler..i rode wed @ 4000-6000ft
sled ran great pulled so hard everything seems great togather knock on wood..we had 1 of pow..hope i was helpful:face-icon-small-hap

if you haven't purchased the intake yet, i would reccommend against it...nothing against timersled, i think they make good stuff, but the m-8 likes the volume of the stock setup...the 1000 on the other hand likes more air, lots of it....my group had several aftermarket air kits on different m-8s, all went back to stock....

I ran my 07 m8 with tsled intake and mbrp can for two years with no controler. Sled ran fantastic. It is a very worthwhile mod in my opinion. I ride with 1 other M8 and an m7 all with the tsled intake and they all run just fine.

i'm running a full slp with the bdx intake no box, have some friends who have been running this setup since 07 with no problems. i do run premium and ride 4-7k...
