M8 Desired RPM

I run a 2008 M8 SnoPro 153. I have a Speedwerx Y-pipe and an HPS silencer. When I climb a hill under full throttle the RPMS hold at 7500. Is this the desired speed or should it be higher or lower? It seems to run great but a friends 2006 M7 runs 7950. Just wondering what works best. Thank you for the help!:D

i dont know a whole lot about cat clutching but here are some thoughts

What does it tach on flatter ground? Moderate snow?

I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) 8100ish is what cat reccomends. Sounds like you may need to inspect the clutching if the sled is high miles or go to some lighter weights. There should be a chart under the hood on the clutch cover or around there I think.

Not running ideal rpm is always a bummer as you really miss out on a decent amount of power.

What elevation are you riding?

How many miles on the sled and on the belt?

I have seen rpm issues from belts with lots of miles on them. Sometimes swapping it out for a new one and breaking it in properly will restore some rpms...sometimes with lots of mile those rollers on the spider in the primary cutch wear or seize, sometimes causing damage to the weights sometimes.

Or its just not set up with the right weights and/or spring

Good luck!
