m8 broken bulkhead by motor mount

2007 m8 with a CPC stage 2 turbo. Doing my preseason check up and I noticed that there was a crack by the upper rear pto motor mount any recommended fixes

the crack goes straight down

Weld it up? Can't really tell from pictures about the crack, maybe if you get a picture with more detail of the crack you'd have better luck.

if you look under the bottom rivit you can see where it ends do you think a good spool gun would be a good enough weld

I personally would take it to someone that has a bigger welder to make sure that the weld penetrates fully. And so there is no concern about strength. Shouldn't cost barely nothing. Would only take at most 5 minutes.

Just make sure to unplug your electronics (ECU) otherwise this repair could get more exspensive
