M8 Boss seat question

I just put a Boss seat on my M8, the shovel handle slot goes a little over 11 inches deep, neither shovel handle I have will fit, is there shorter handles, or is the handle slot supposed to be longer. Thanks.

I ran into the same problem.You have to take the seat off, unzip it from the bottom and you will see that you have to take the fabric and guide it into the holes that are cut into the black foam where the storage area is in the back of the seat.Once you do that it wont be an issue. I have the hmk handle it is 21 inches and it fits once you do that.
