M7 RGT under load run out of power

well i purchased this sled a couple of weeks ago and so far its been awesome. took it to cook city and had no problems at all ran like a top. climbed tons of big hills and chutes no problem. thing ran amazing.. took it to kings hill, and it ran awesome all the way back to this pretty decent sized hill. every time i would make a pull it would scream at the bottom till half way up and then it would fall flat on its face as soon as i hit powder and it went under a "load". Tried numerous times leaning it out on top, richening it up on top no difference still same spot blahhhhhhhhh. so on our way out i was worried about the packed hill we rode down to get in there. first time up it screams all the way through the top no hesitation whatsoever. so i go back down.. second time screams again. so i go back to the hill i was trying with powder.. same deal as soon as it was under load at the top just fell on its face.. so we went to weatherwax which is packed down no powder, and it screamed up it every time no problem.. whats going on here, im pretty new to the boondocker box. any suggestions would be nice

Sounds like you were not clutched right. You should have set more preload on the secondary. You need to tighten the center nob until you have a minimum of a 1/2" of thread showing.

i didnt climb deep powder in cook but i climbed powder. it has 42 26 helix not much bottom end all top end. felt more like a fuel issue but i dont know. Running 12psi race fuel 6-8k feet

Check that helix angle again, that doesn't sound right. How does the sled sound when it falls flat? If it's not stuttering or cutting out, it could be clutching. Try a new belt and check the rollers and helix.

sorry meant 42 46, sled is set up for hill climbs, felt more like it was getting too much fuel to me but i suppose clutching would do that also. is there anything on the box that feeds more fuel when its under load?? f
otherwise ill check my clutching.

The lo med and hi on the box are load conditions. You can try to pull fuel out of the hi in the RPM range where it falls flat.

k it must not be that because i pulled it on the mountain and it did not work, looked at my helix its actually a 44/48 dark purple spring on the primary, dont know the weights just yet. looks like my secondary is screwed over an inch and a half in, dont know if thats it im a super noob when it comes to clutching, ill also look at my plugs today.

ok so i checked my plugs, both look good cardboard color.... secondary preload in about an inch and half. any other suggestions.

my helix is real close to that on a 1200, I would say your not getting enough shift on the 48 number.

thank you very much for letting me know that.. thats what i was figuring.. any input on a good helix.. right now there is like no bottom end and all top end, i would like a mix between good bottom end and good top end.. any recommendations thank you.

Call Travis at OVS, His helix is the best I've tried and he will prob be able to help you with whatever other problems you might be having....

thanks much i will give him a call... if anyone else has recommendation for helix as of right now im thinking 36/46????
