m7 power gain

one kind of rule of thumb i like to go by is the less is more. I'm going to sound hypocritical here but as far as power gains go, weight trumps power in my book. A lighter sled will have more power. Get it? I'm going to put a y pipe because they are realitvly cheap, can, side vents and 2 wheel kit on my M8 and call it macaroni. A couple of my buddies have/had M7's pretty modded and the more mods, the more troubles you know. My one buddy put a Boondocker box on his M7 and had nothing but troubles with it. Now he probably didn't familiarize himself with it but the sled was really tempermental with that box. He also put a pipe, can and y-pipe on it which from what i've heard, you can get away with the can and y-pipe with no box but as soon as you put on a pipe, you have to have a box. As for the twins, another buddy of mine put speedwerx, I think ,on his M7 and had to put a box on it and dialing it in has been a *****. I have gone real minimal with the M8 (Boss seat, a must!!!), snow eliminators, 2" risers. And as far as your quote of...

Well I'm pretty sure my old stock m6 with a Jaws can out hillclimbed and sidehilled a STOCK orange and black m7 near stampede pass......or was that just the rider? Well see next season biggdaddy

it's all in the rider. I've seen dudes flat out rip on sleds that shouldn't even have left the parking lot.

if anyone has had any real experience tweeking with the jaws twins, let me know because i want to see how much maintnence they really take.
Ive heard from alot of people that they are just a pain in the butt, thats why im starting to lean towards some good clutching and an rkt head.
Thanks

bogging is where the fuel controller shines. Boony box allows you to take away or add fuel at any rpm range.........as well as a boost (accel) mode that allows an adjustable burst of fuel where it is needed.

I run a SW single and canister on mine and run without a box. No problems with bogging either. My M7 will run with M8s and rev 800s all day in the mountains.

school

I think you need to worry about your school work first or just might not be snowmobiling next year.
If it was me I would lose that load a** can and get somthing quite so I don't get a migrane.

But for sure I would go with a RKT head and a fuel box controler and we can make that sled rock.

PS don't listen to yur dad he knows nothing;)

M-7

If you want to make a m-7 rip first thing is to get the clucthing right. The rkt clucth kit has worked great for me with the sno-pro green spring and 36 deg. The next thing is to get the heat out from under the hood vents sno-mo on here has some nice ones. As far as the twins go i have run slp and jaws and they are both a pain in the butt to keep tuned and to keep the heat out from under the hood they will melt all wires ect ect. The fuel boxes are good for some things if the sled has a bog like some have when they are new they can be tuned out also some cans make them bog or mod air box can make it not run right if you get a box you can tune them out the down fall is sometimes you seem to tune on the box to much. I also think if you want to make it run strong and a pull and go put a rkt head on it and if you have a little more $$$ to spend have it ported that will wake it up big time. The speedwerx single works great on a ported motor rkt or mpm are great places to have them ported. There are alot more thing that can be done but these things work real good. If you have more ? for me about the m-7 PM me.
