M7 ecu tube length?

At some point, the tube that comes out of my ecu on my 06 M7 had contacted my exhaust canister and melted. That might have something to do with the reason my sled ran like crap at the end of last season!
I know that the length of that tube is critical so could somebody measure the stock length of their tube and let me know what it shoud be? I have some clear tubing that has the same inside diameter, I just need to know the proper length now.

Ecu tube

I just messured my 06 m7 and from the outside edge of the box it sticks out 12.5 inches. Dont know whats inside?
