m7 big bore 800 turbo??

hey guys been looking at a turbo kit for my sled which was a m7 now a rktek800 can i use any 800 turbo kit or does it have to be specific 700 kit im not sure about this one looking for some advice found a couple kits looking to see if they will work thanks .

I have an F7 with a D&D big bore 800, i made my own kit with an Aerocharger 53. The 700cc engine is different from the 800cc, so i personally would stick with a 700cc kit, but with a bigger turbo.

You will need to have your head machined for the turbo application. But the big bore will work great turbocharged.

The turbo kits are near identical for the m7-m8 as far as components the only difference is how you wire the fuel pump and accessories. While many of the kits work fine i would look at a twisted or OVS setup for the m7.

your head would be find just pay attention to octane of fuel i run a m7 8oo bigbore with 14 .1 comp at 8000 plus feet no problem just 2 to 3 gallon of 112 per tank . My kit is a rg boondocker kit that has been played with to work for me .

at 2000 i would not go above 6 on strait av fuel but at 8000 you should get 8 out of it on same fuel just watch injector cycle if not a race gas kit

You figure all other equipment like oil res tank and components will match up. If so its time to turbo I have done the research and think its time just need to find a kit if you know of one plz let me know thanks for all the advice guys

I'll expand a little...
My 2005 M7 was bored out to 800, by a machine shop. I have an older boondocker (2007) turbo kit. It was originally setup as a full RG kit, but I've put a different boost controller and waste gate, took out the intercooler. I'm running stock 800 heads. I've also got the muffler update. I live in Colorado and ride mostly around 10-13,000 ft.

even at this elevation, running anything above 6# of boost with 94 octane, and I get detonation. In fact, i was at 8# this weekend and melted the electrode on a cylinder.

I've only got 20 miles on the 800 motor, so I don't know a whole lot there, but it runs really strong, so far.

On the 700 motor, I could get away with 8#, and I'd throw in a gallon of racegas in premium, just to be sure. I ran up to 10# sometimes with the same setup and NEVER had problems.

I do have a little tuning to do still, and have a little lean spot when I come off boost, but I'll have that worked out in the next two weeks.

I know it's a pain, but I'll be pulling my spark plugs often to check them. It's the best way to see what's going on. I run an AFR and EGT's to check as I go, but it's best to see the plugs, i think.

Why are you so anti-race gas?

and the rule of thumb that I've always been told is that you can expect about 7 track HP for every # of boost, at sea level.
