m6 clutch question

Just need a 100 percent sure answer on what the metal ring that bolts on the outer edge of my primary clutch is for. it has come loose broke some bolts off and the clutch is stuck three pullers have been ruined and next step is to cut either the entire clutch off or that ring. just dont know what that ring is for and what will happen if i remove it.

Sorry, I don't know the answer for sure. But one thing to consider, the clutch won't be in balance if there are a few bolts broken off. and I don't know how you could possibly remove them without removing the clutch from the motor.
