M1100T vs MCX 180 Nytro

I hate these Vs posts usually but I am bored. . .

So how will a stock m1100turbo with dd barker(191Hp at dynotech)

Compare to

Yamaha nytro with MCX 180 kit?

I don't really care I have my mind set on what sled I am getting so no big deal but I don't want to be embarrassed by a nytro 180. Also I have seen some videos of these run and they did look pretty impressive.

I pray the 1100 handles, I had a 180 nytro last year, motor was awesome, handling was beyond bad.

Still calling 100% BS on that claim. They claimed that a BMP setup was way over actual at one point as well... dyno numbers are a decent reference, but not to be trusted.

As to how it will compare... well, you spent WAY less $$ to get there than they did, and I'd guess it'll be pretty close.

The real beauty is that for just a little $$ you can add even more very easily.

i ordered the ez jacker 1.9, big dog barker, and clutch kit.. i think it will be pretty impresive to ride.. as far as the nytro i feel the are awesome for bring the 4 stroke to the table but need to learn more about ride ability.. " they ride like ****...

I can tell you my first hand experience and you can decide. On oct 10th we got dumped on in Utah. Took our 2 new proclimb m8's to find snow. Meet a guy up the mountain who had a mountain performance 180 turbo kit on his nytro. His nytro was a couple years old and had over 1000 miles on it. Our m8 had less than 15 miles. We drag raced multiple times in a field with about 18" of snow. About 60-70 yards. Pretty much dead even everytime. Took the same m8, now with 30 miles on it, up on Monday this week with our new 1100t. The 1100t beat the m8 every time. I don't know how good the nytro was running, the owner it ran great. one thing for sure, the 1100t has a much better chassis for the mountains. Based on the fact our brand new 1100t would beat our m8 by several lengths, I'm pretty sure it would wax the 180 nytro, especially once the 1100t is broken in.

Haha, there is no WAY a stock m8 will beat or make it so much as dead even vs my mcx 180. This thing is Dynoed at 180hp in summer time in a low reading dyno. And from experience no stock 800 will stick to it.

So no way a 1100T will `wax`a 180mcx. Will be close i`m sure. :boxing:

Going to make a batch of pop corn right now. Be interesting to see how long this thread gets with keyboard hype. Would be great to actually see them go side by side before we get all the opinions. Time will tell. Cat sure looks like they have a great line up this year.

I think it is going to be close between the two, but I will have to guess that the Mcx 180 Nytro will win in the mountains. Dollar for dollar the Cat will handle better, and I have a lot of $$ into my Nytro to make it handle.

See the thing is you have $$ into your nytro to make it handle good the 1100T already handle good, so if you put the same $$ into the 1100T it will put even more of a hurtn on the nytro!

I can't give you any info on the MCX.

But last Apr we ran the proto M1100T against the Yamaha with the factory option Push on it. In a drag race, up the back side of Two Top, in azz deep powder the Push turbo actually would beat the M1100T although not by a huge amount... couple of sled lengths.

BUT, we moved off into the trees and started playing up through them up on to the slopes of Two Top and the M1100T was the clear winner... the handling in the tighter stuff was much better with the M1100T than the Yamaha.

I know not really an answer to your question, but I was impressed with the M1100T. Neither of your comparison sleds are stock so probably doesn't help with the answer much.

BTW, we also had the M8 with us and it was a distant 3rd in the drag races and would handle well in the trees but couldn't climb, even on short run ups, with the M1100T. Pick your way through the tight snow goblin pines and come to a 50 yard climb, wick the loud lever open on the M1100T and get out over the bars to keep it planted and let it dig over the top.

Man I wish the deep snow would get here...

So how many miles do you have on your 1100T. If I remember right yammi came out with a promo to have a free super charger or for minimal to add the push turbo?? What was the 1100T price this year. Wasnt' it 14-15g??

Sounds like you have alot of side by side comparison of the tnytro and 1100T. Did you get a chance to jump on each sled and get comparison's when you were riding side by side?? Would love to hear your feedback on the two sleds. How did the 1100t handle compared to the nytro.

The MSRP on the highest end M1100T was 14200. Nytro MTX 162 MSRP is 12899, but the supercharger or turbo were an extra $1500, plus dealer install fee.

so cost for cost is fairly similar then??

This will be my first year in over a decade riding something other than a cat. With that being said this year will see my on a MPI turbo Nytro. I got a left over 2010 Nytro 162 se for $8000. I then got my Mpi kit for $3525 so total $11525. I cant' get a m1100t for that. So far the best price I've found was about $1000 more for the standard 153. My guess is the Cat will handle better, it's a new chassis. As far as who will beat who that's going to come down to rider ability, it always does.
