M1100T Steering

Ever since I picked up my 2012 m1100t, I have not got the difference in steering posts. I didn't think the vertical steering would fit in the 1100s. I did ride an M800 and they did steer quite different.

1. Are people are adding the AC M8 stock vertical post to the 1100s?

2.What about adding the 1-3" bracket behind the post and a taller riser?

I am trying to figure out the best fix for the steering, as well as where to get the parts.

Thanks

Arctic Cat has a vertical steering kit. We have them in stock. It is a must have for mountain riding on the 1100T.

i havent tried the vert steering but im content with mine, threw a leg on my buddys 09 m8 and hated how it felt could just be the difference between the m and the proclimb tho

I had them install the cat verical steering at the begining of this year. That and getting rid of the piece of crap skis were the two biggest improvments to the way it handles. Its like a totally different sled. I actually love the way it handles now.

Let the air down to 80 psi on the front end and it will totally handle like a boondocking wonder. No more fighting the front end- just lean and it will respond!
Wish the stock 2013 upper and lower Vert steering bushings had a update or a aftermarket replacement.. the stock are a joke with the play in them after 500 miles:face-icon-small-con

My upper bushing didn't make 200 miles and came right out. What is the lower busing you are speaking of. I am ordering 3 upper bushings as they are easy enough to change as they wear out.

Sled felt like a caddilack on the trails prior to the busing wearing out. Then it was as rattely as a Pro RMK on the trail. HaHa

has anyone tried the post forward kit by c3 with their horizontal steering the '12 came with and also tried the '13 vertical steering?

i want my bars forward 3" and down 1"-2" on my '13 (it has the vert steering)

no one has tried the both the vert steering that comes with the '13 and also the c3 post forward kit that works with the '12 lay down steering????

I have but.....

I had the C3 3" forward on my demo sled last year and have a '13 this year. I don't have nearly enough time on my '13 to say I like it better. I really liked my '12 but I also never had a vert steering sled before....which might make me want vert steering. My '13 is also a 174 3" so it handles completely different and would be hard to directly compare. I also run a set of Fatbars I made so they have a rake up and back, completely different than the flat stock bars.

So what I'm saying is I really have no useful info for you lol.

This sled needs power steering for the deep stuff. I have the vert steering and was just out west and I needed Schwarzenegger forearms to steer it when coming off a dead stop!

4stroke

you wont get away from that with a 4stroke in soft snow unless you want a trench making corner blowing beast...

I went with the vertical steering on my 2012 M11T. Must have over the stock steering. A LOT of guys have gone with the vertical steering and I haven't heard of anyone that has regretted it.
