M1100t + Hi-Jacker = what clutching?

Any input on how the HiJackers 2.0 have been working be great to, few guys gotta have some miles on them by now.

Gonna try 88.4 gram weights

From a couple members pm's and madness who shared what they have been testing we pulled the weights and fired up the welder and in conjunction with a digital scale added weight slowly from 85 to 88.4 (88.4 worked so we did not have to grind). Heading out Friday to test with the hijacker installed in some deep snow, should be 3' plus in around 5000-7000'.

Piker

Stock: 8000 Max rpm stock with stage 2 barker, revy, 12-18 of fresh snow

I'm a little confused - 87-88 pipe only no hi jacker. The reason I asked I just added the hi jacker and went to 95 due to the over revving with just the pipe. Are you say I went too much? What psi are you running? 4000-8000ft

You added over 3 grams to the weights with a welder? I hope they aren't brittle now. You wouldn't want one to break at 8000 rpm

I'am running 95grams @17 psi and still over reving. D@D tan spring and 44-40 helix. Need to mix gas on the long pulls the Octane light flashes. Also running the D@D barker can..........Just My 2 cents.

well if that is the case i would be getting rid of the 44\40 and the tan spring.the oct is going to go off form over rev .there maybe no oct issue just det could be pre det from no fuel or to much. with no a\f it well take some time to get fuel numbers dialed. with head studs and fuel 24 to 25 psi should be good hp gains. because stock it makes 18psi at around 7000feet to make this motor put out 180hp.

I ran 92 grams at 18 psi and staright pipe didnt like the way the extra weight slowed throttle response was great for climbing but sucked in the trees so i went down to 89 and throttle response was much better and would pop limiter when on the hard pack but in the fluffy stuff would pull about 8050, the best thing to do would get ecu reflashed to raise limiter to 8600 so you dont have to weight up the primary so much. Just my ideas out loud.

I ran 86 grams (adjustable weights no extra weight added) on stock power with a hindle exhaust. Worked great. would bounce off rev limiter once or twice but settle back down to around the 8000 RPM. No detonation.

Went to 88.6 grams and was able to run 210 hp (on the ezjacker 2.0). sled felt great but would bounce off the limiter a little too much and sled would show detonation.

Bumped up to 92.5 grams on 210 hp and on wide open pulls the sled would hold around 7950 RPM. It pulled like a monster but for boondocking in the trees it was super lazy till the turbo spooled all the way up. Made the sled not much fun to ride.

Going to try 90 grams in a few weeks when I am back at Revy and then dial the ezjacker for maximum horsepower without detonation.

I feel like these sleds either need higher gearing with the extra power to lug the motor down and maybe pull some higher track speed or they need a different helix to controll the RPM's better without having to load so much weight in the primary.

All tests were done on 94 octane fuel with a D&D tan primary spring and a stock secondary. I am certainly no clutching expert so any input on where I can go from here would be great. I love the sled but I need the quicker rev's of the lighter weights for the type of riding I like to do. If that means I have to run less horsepower so I can boondock in the trees then that is what I will have to settle for. 220 plus HP is not needed that often in the places I ride especially if it means compromising with good throttle response and rideability. Now if someone can get me the response I noticed with the 86 gram weights but controll the RPM's enough to run around the 8000 mark at 220 plus HP I am totally up for trying it.

Thanks for the good post.

The 44/40 helix has nothing to do with over reving, stock is a 42/40.The more hp you add you also to have a stiffer drive spring, or the belt is going to slip and burn up.......What springs are you guys running in the drive.

Sounds like you need a reverse helix. Will help make it snappy down low but controll over shift up top. Id try a 36-44 or a 38 44

My thoughts

I have Hindle exaust, Highjacker set at 18psi, 2.5" track, cold air intake, 60lbs of weight pulled off the sled and I weigh 300lbs with gear. No spring change, no helix change but I do have adj 85-95 weights. Started with 95 not shiffting really at all and 6800rpm. Currently have 85 grams and 7400rpm works better, still not shifting out great.

Where did you pull off the 60lbs, if you don't mind me asking?

WKM carbon fiber M1100t

If you do a search on WKM carbon fiber M1100 in this section you'll see it. We weighted it rtr at 610lbs.

Carbon skid, hood, battery, Hindle 8". Even put a couple of lbs on with the Extreme 2.5. With a tank and tunnel it will be getting close to a stock M8.

with stock clutcing and 86 gram weights i will bounce off the rev limiter if I go over 200 on the ezjacker. I only weigh 165 no gear but the rest of the sled is stock. I need some way to bring the revs down without throwing a bunch of weight in the primary. The sled was very unresponsive when I added the weight to the primary.
