Has anyone tried a different helix in the secondary? Stock in mine is 42/40. I think the 40 is fine but 42 is creating too much heat. What kind of options are out there? Any suggestions? When running extra boost, we need lots of weight to keep form hitting the rev limiter. With all the weight the midrange suffers. Will a shallower helix like a straight 36 fix this? Is there such a thing as a 36/40?

Been running a 36/40 out 7000 feet plus and a 36/42 at lower elevations with good results. We have them in stock if you would like one.

Trying a new secondary set up this weekend. Straight 38 and a torsional conversion. Mind you I don't have a bd box. I'll keep you posted. So far no more snapping because the rollers stay tight to the helix.

We've done 38/44 and 38/46 with very good results. More testing this weekend.

Snow was extremely deep this weekend and the new set up worked spot on. Loaded the engine harder out of the hole and maintained its pull all the way through. Made the track speed stay more consistent. Did loose about 3-4 mph track speed on climbs Compared to stock set up but was way more responsive on the low end when boondocking in the trees which made the sled more maneuverable. No more belt dust and primary clutch face stayed clean compared to the stock set up.

testing

Sorry we couldn't get hooked up for Sunday Go-V. Clemina was blue bird and untracked in all the bowls. Best day of the year for sun and snow for us anyway.

Anything under about 5000' I would consistantly bounce on the rev limiter, hit it a few times even at 7000' if it didn't hook up. We were in 1.5-3' fresh. First ride with boost and A/F guages. Boost was not happening until 5500, would like to see a little more speed at that rpm, really slow moving. Great for a lot of tree riding but a little slow for making speed in longer climbs. WOT was mid 10's on A/F guage, so I started working on that with the 2.0.

I have a 38/46, Culter gold/white in primary, orange Cat in the secondary, and Culter 85-95 empty. I'd like to try a 40/46 for a little more speed at lower rpm and load a little more weight in the heel. I was happy with the backshift and it held 7700-7900 in long climbs. Boost never went over 21lbs on the guage no matter where the 2.0 was set, which is what we've said all along.

Overall I was very happy with how it ran. Love the 38" arms. Hopefully I can get the Diamond S boards on before the next ride. Pretty done with the factory snow catchers.

For reference this is what is done to the sled performancewise:
- Divorced 2.5" downpipe and straight pipe
- 2.0 BD
- cold air intake
- head studs
- 40lbs weightloss

How was your last trip of testing did you try a different helix? I'm going to try the cutler weights this weekend and see if that will bring the track speed back. Also installed Some vents to cool things down.

We were out in Allan and renshaw this past weekend. I had the same results. 20-21 lbs is all I could get The A/F at WOT I could not get to come up over 11.2. I tried the 2.0 down to -4 on the high end and no diff from stock. Not sure what is happening, but I didnt want to knock any more fuel out of it just in case.
Has anybody else had this issue?:frusty:

Renshaw was a cake walk this weekend hero snowwwww lol

I got a straight 38 helix from Dalton. Im running it with their 66.5 gram adjustable weights and a aqua/black dalton spring. Seems to work well for me. Gained about 2-3 mph track speed. Clutches still get hot as hell but im starting to think theres not much i can do about that.

I never got to change anything last weekend from the last ride. I'm happy with what I was running, still on original belt over 600 miles. We rode Allan, Westridge, and Clemina in Vale. Made our own tracks all three places in 1.5-3.5' of fresh on top of a pretty stiff base. First two days were still fluffy. Was carrying 62-69mph track speed breaking fresh. Last day it was heavy and 3' plus, could have used 3-4 grams less.

How did your ride go? Was coming home and you were on your way there.

My buddy is enroute as well. 1100 Ltd and a 1100 153 for the wifey. Couples retreat:heart: He's riding with another buddy on a Culter M8 153 and a lady friend if you run into them.

Latest testing with turbo mag weights was good it did lower my engagement a couple hundred rpm. Coming in about 3000 compared to the 5w daltons Snow was heavy in the afternoon with warm temps. 1-2' untracked snow in the trees. I was down to about 81g of weight and would hold steady about 57-59 mph track speed. As clutch temps rised back shift labored. Blew another belt at 590 miles. And another one on the way down the trail to the truck. I think the chain case gremlin struck again.

I'm running the turbo dynamics reflash,2.5 camo bikeman charge tubes and exhaust. 90 gram Dalton's with stock springs. Pulls nice an smooth all the way except when I am climbing and go out of the throttle and back into it. Then it blows right though the rev limiter and sets of the wrench. Not sure what to try first

What does the TD reflash set the rev limiter too?
