m1100t 153

Put larger rear wheels on and get the 155" camo extreme.. Ya,, it doesn't make any sense to put the shorter track under the MOST POWERFUL MOUNTAIN SLED out there..... Some say you can run the 3" paddles but they rub a little.

I have the 153. I like it. I am going to do a camo 2.5 before next year though.

I think it depends on where you ride. On the west coast where the snow is wet, heavy and set up, I think a 153 would be fine. In Utah Colorado and other places where you get very deep, light snow IMO a 162 is a must. The 2.5 lug tracks are killer on this machine

So damdave....I just want to get this straight

I rode one around West last week, more fun than the 162 I rode before:typing:

U r saying there is a noticeable difference between the 162/153 1100t, right? U said more fun...so I am assuming different in a good way...right? I would guess handling, maneuverability, that sort of thing?

I appreciate ur "no bs style" and would appreciate more details about you time on the sled. I am tossing around the idea of going 1100t next yr. I would think it would carry PLENTY of track speed on the 153 to go where most 162's go. Especially if a guy put a 2.5 camp extreme on it. I always thought I could not REALLY tell the difference between 153-162, I am a bigger guy, but maybe with more weight on the 1100t, the length difference is more noticeable?

Thx for ur input Dave!

U going with the 2.5 camo b/c u don't like the powerclaw or because u want more traction?

If u say traction, is it to compensate for the 153 or r unjust greedy??? ;)

Where did I get out west to this yr? We head to Cooke Friday!

I think on the 11t the powerclaw is not a good track. IMO especially on a heavy sled.

I am greedy. that extra .5" makes a difference.

I was to busy hanging on to worry about track speed but the track speed is there no problem, it was very easy to toss around really, it had the vertical post kit and that helped to, The guy who owns it weighs about 125 and has no problem riding it in the trees:typing:

I have owned many 162 sleds and this year went with a M800 153 and love it so far, tons more fun to toss around

i m riding a high country now, not to pleased with its climbing ability, trading up instead of putting and bunch of parts on, longer track, rails and more power. But not interested in a 162.

If you have a high country the tunnel is the same length as the 153. You can just buy 153 rails and a 153 track and you will have a 153. And you can do whatever track you like powerclaw or camo extreme. Unless you have a really good dealer it is going to cost more to trade up and you still will not have the camo extreme.

I have thought of that, but still dont have power of the turbo at 9000 ft
