Just a few Items that I found tonight while sitting in the garage. I finally decided to take the hood off and kinda look things over. I have had the sled now for 2 weeks and have put about 40 miles on it. Here are the things I found tonight. These are things that I think all of us with these sleds should check. Pictures are included as well as a description

1. I had a coolant hose clamp that looks to me like they never even attempted to tighten it behind the primary clutch.

2. Vacuum tube that goes into the air cleaner was not in place. Not sure if it came out when I took the hood off or if it was never in to begin with.

3. The belt guard is a total pain in the *** to remove to get to the hose clamp that need to be re-installed.

4. Checked the belt deflection and according to the manual I should have about an 1 1/8 to 1 1/4 in with a straight edge from clutch to clutch. Mine is more like an 1 3/4.

5. Pulled the secondary off and the o-ring in the end of clutch on the adjuster sheave was pinched

6. Both the primary and secondary clutches have black marks from what I think is the belt slipping.

7. coolant hose that runs from the reservoir to the turbo was resting on the exhaust. Totally unexceptable only a matter of time before that melted even with the heat wrap.

The clutches have me a little worried. I can't tighten the secondaries at all to reduce the deflection and at almost 200 bucks a belt don't want to burn it up.

Also if you want to remove the belt cover you need a 7 socket with and extension and 8 mm open end wrench to remove one bolt through the frame. Both of which are not in the tool bag and I also did not have a 2 inch washer in the bag that the manual says I should.

This is BS for what we are spending on these! I don't blame the dealer either because they should not have to disassemble them and double check everything from the factory. And as an owner I shouldn't have to do the same. I do however expect to do maintenance, and thankfully I do look over things when I am in there.

0627-082= $161.42 from countrycat.com just a reference. I have no idea why, I think it is to handle the increased hp and torque

Mine came out after riding it. . . Try it once. . . I emailed the dealer and told them they need a solution. . . I personally can find a solution but that is not why I bought a $13000 sled. . . I think the solution is a slightly larger 90 with about a 1/4" more length to the filter whether this be in the hose or in the 90. I likely will fix mine myself if cat doesn't come up with anything mostly because the dealer is so far away but i am frustrated by it. I was told by the service guy at the dealer is likely I don't have the filter and hood in place correctly. Funny though because when I picked up the sled the hood was not on correctly from them. . .

wrap some electrical tape around it and shove it in there until cat comes out with a fix for it. It's just a vent so if anything you just get some oil mist out of it if it comes off.

Loosen up the clamp on the 90 degree bend. Pull it out 1/8" and reinstall it. It iust long enough so there is no force pulling it out......
