M1100 cutting out

When climbing hills sled is cutting out around 6000 to 6500 rpm. Check all the hoses everything looks fine. Before this happen during a climb the octane light flashed like it went lean? Running race gas so octane should not have been a issue. I did the fuel mod, thought I heard pump whine though. 2 bars on the tank. No codes. Ran fine all day, did explode my first belt. Hot 50 degree day. Besides a leak test any other suggestions?

I think I heard they cut out when they get too hot, programmed that way to prevent boil over or further damage....Need to vent under hood and let it cool.

Octane light is also a rev limiter light.

Some have had fuel pickup issues.

Only 6000 rpm not hitting the rev limiter. Did the fuel mod
Your getting the octane light at only 6000 R's ?

I had water in the fuel and the smart valves "They close with water" were starving the engine.

I thought that I wasn't hitting the rev limiter but when I did the max rpm recall I was quite surprised what I was hitting.

From what I've heard from the flat land guys the last two yearher inning the Z1, the over heat safety mode usually only goes on right as the piston melts to the cylinder wall. Cat has the over heat limit set too high. Seen one sled over heat and sieze on the dyno just as the over heat light goes on, on the dash. Glad it wasn't my sled.

I would have to assume that it is a fueling issue. Runs fine on the flats but when in a climb once you hit around 6000 to 6500 falls on its face (I assume trying to build boost).
For those who had the low gas level is this what you experienced?
I would like to know if anyone has had a issue with the following:
1) Fuel pump
2) Boondocker box
3) Other such as the water

Well it was the stupid 'smart valves" again. Thought the fuel mod fixed it. Oh well had a great year, time to get the boat out.

It's a Diamond S made for the 1100T. The 800 is a different hood. It wasn't a clean install. Lots of hand forming and cutting to make fit. You also have to relocated the inter-cooler. To his credit there is a lot -of fab work to make the box. He Just needs a fixture to get the right shape and cutouts. Hopefully Scott has this figured out now.
