M1000 mod

I just bought a 2008 M1000 put the powerclaw track on it boss seat and slp can. Just wondering if anyone has tried anything that has really worked well for this sled. I was considering a y-pipe and pipe with boondocker box, some say to much hassle and others say it makes all the difference. please let me know what you think i havnt been around Artic Cat enough to know what works and doesnt.
Thanks, Andy

slp pipe kit
reeds
slp intake
power commander
55/65 gears
new clutching
This will work great and you don't have to mess with the box

08 M1000 modifications

I have the same sled rode it stock (except slp can the first year) most of the 2nd year as well. I purchased an 09 M8 (for comparison)toward the end of the 2nd year. The M8 is great. I decided it was time to modify the m1000 so I did D&D Trail port, y pipe and a minor head mod. Fuel pressure regulator (no box) some clutching and this thing rip's. Torque is definitley not a problem the thing pulls hard only one rode ride so we will see but so far very pleased.

I realy like the CPC torsional conversion on my 08 M1000.
May not be the best mod to really notice a power gain, but it definately added to the fun factor.
Quicker upshift at low speeds, does not hit a wall at 40-50 mph anymore, and backshifts great on the hill. Not to mention easily adjustable.

I have a M1000, D&D head work, boondocker box, single pipe ,Y pipe,Rtk clutch set up. Love it. Not at all hard to keep it running.I ride at 9000ft and up.::)
