..

its just an GM injector plug and brakefluid level pigtail as well..

i just have a elastic and plastic currently over the light to make sure light doesn;t get any moisture in the circuit...it learns the signal from the sensor and then goes from green to red when a knock is comming on..

det sensor and wiring.jpg det light pic2.jpg added det sensor.jpg det light.jpg

light works...just don;t know how well...lol...got snow but just finished a real cold spell and today was going to go for a scoot and woke up to 5 hours of shoveling...and then firewood detail...

so this next weekend...God willing...

Is there any adjustment on it?

..nope...it takes the info from the knock sensor and then it "learns/calibrates" whats normal and what is suspect and give just a warning...

im interested to know what will notify me first on my sled..the light or the stock det sensor and limp mode....im hoping the light otherwise i didn;t gain much except a lighter wallet eh...lol...but im certain the light will be the early warning..

Wow, great find. I am really curious how it works for you. With your sled and having an existing knock sensing system it will be a great test. On my 1000 without a current system it would be seat of the pants, inspection, etc. to tell if it was really working at the right time or now. So you testing is very important. keep us posted.

Thanks

ok...on idle the visual detector is ok at green...from high idle /engagement and all other operations of the sled the indicator is always red indicating Det/Knock..

Which is totally a false indication...so... so far a total failure.I have emailed the manufacturer to see if they have any suggestions and i indicated that maybe their set up will not work on the two stroke.

I will wait to see if they respond and have any suggestions and then i will try a few differant things..copper washer underside/ sensor location change..etc etc..when all else fails it will go up for sale, but fair warning...if it goes up for sale it is likely junk for this intended application...haha..

or maybe i will try it on the lawnmower..

got the reply from the factory...

"We have found that the KnockLink is not suitable for two strokes as the there is alot of background noise that the filtering is not geared to cope with"

Strange they don;t make that info up front and center on their site. They state that it works for all piston and rotary engines....oh well..

so i will put it on my project car..
