M1000 information

hey, guys I was wondering how is the ride with the M1000 compared to a M8?
Is the extra weight noticeable?
Can you sidehill as good as a 800?
I was watching a Burandt vid and it looks so easy to play with that sled
I know he's one of the bests riders but is the M1000 an easy ride?

I feel that the weight different between the M8 and M1000 is noticeable, not enough to turn me off the of 1000, the extra power makes up for it. Still very easy to throw around considering it is a 1000.

I came off of an 800 Edge RMK and the M1000 is easier to throw over, IMO.

At least the M8's I've ridden seem a bit snappier in the low end, faster throttle response that is, this is just due to the 1000 "bog/lag" at 4k rpm but once you get past that the torque difference is for sure noticeable.

never felt any bog in the 1000 faster off the line and faster on the hill in set up deep snow.
the m1000 only feels heavier in the trailer and garage when you have to lift the front end to move it over. riding the both of them( i have an 08 m1000, a 09 m8, an 08 m6, an 07 m8 141 and had an m1000 turbo) there is no difference to me in the handling of the 1000 to the 8. the m1000 engages about 850 rpm less than the m8 so feels different in the trees at 5 mph weaving through tight stuff

This is just my opinion, but I had a 07 m8 153 non sno pro and traded it in on a 08 M1000 sno pro 162". I feel the m10 with the longer track is actually easier to carve with than the m8 was...I don't know if its because of the track speed, sno-pro option or what. just my 2 cents!! Good luck

I have both. My 1000 rips so hard off the bottom I love the way it feels. I let off the gas just so I can punch it again and again. This wears me down and towards the end of the day I think it feels heavier. I probably just need to toughen up:)

It's because its an 08. The 07 M's were big time nose heavy feeling. The 08 transfers a lot better.
