m1000 hard to pull over sometimes

2007 artic cat 1000 hard to pull over somtimes and next time it will be fine has anyone had this problem or have any suggestions it has a high compression head other wise it is stock

i allmost blow a seal pulling when its cold out and being started for the first time of the day.rest of the day its easy.

Is it difficult when cold or after you have been riding it.

The only time I ever noticed it hard to pull over was when hot after a pull. (As the piston and cylinder were micro welding themselves together) Due to a lean condition.

Might pull the pipe and look in through the Y pipe at the piston skirts and rings. If you have any skuffing this could be your problem.

Hope not but worth checking.

when very cold, the 1000 can be difficult....technique i use is to get an 8' piece of nylon tape (3/4")....wrap it around the drive clutch, just like it was an emergency cord....pulls the engine over much easier until it starts the first time....if you have a buddy, have him pull the drive clutch tape as you are pulling the normal start cord....they pull right over and start no matter how cold....:face-icon-small-hap

Same problem we have with one m1000.It is way harder to pull over than an average m1000 but once it has started once it is normal starting. Almost everything has been checked. Tried different oil changed oil pump even had a new crank put in.
