m1000 gearing

I have a quick question, my buddy is selling his m8 gears outta his 09 m1000 and i was wondering if they will fit in my 07 m1000 if you guys could help me out before i crack the diamond drive that would be great

His has the electric reverse, and yours has the mechanical. Don't believe it will work for you.

Just wanted to have the top 3 posts in a row but I'm with Aaron on this one. Don't think they'll fit. Think they're both 60/60 anyway. Get yourself some 55/65's and you'll have a mountain sled.

The M8 gears will help make it a mountain sled. Don't worry about it being geared to low. I hear the new M8's are geared even lower than in 07.

They are... my 2010 HRC has the 55/65 gears but I heard they did this because the R's will be higher on the new 800 thus giveing you close to the same ratio..

would a 57/63 set work good too or the best would be 55/65?????????
