M series intake/ filling the gap??

I have made a homemade intake for my M7. It looks like the Timber sled intake.
After installation I have a gap between the intake plate and the rubber boot that the old air box goes into. The rubber boot was cut at the factory, and not cut very straight. Any ideas on what to fill the gap with???

Catcrazy,

If it is similar to the timbersled plate I have a suggestion. When I first installed my timbersled the plate didn't get a good seal and it was because the plate was hitting the angled part of the chassis. I ground down the bottom of the plate which allowed it to fully contact the rubber boot and problem solved.

Uller,

Thanks for the reply. It is almost like someone at the factory cut that rubber boot with a razor knife and it is not straight at all. It fits fine down to the angled part. I just don't think that silicone is going to fix the problem. I should almost cut the very front of the rubber boot off and put some sort of rubber trim around it. How does your Timber Sled intake work? Did you do any extra venting?
