M-7 with Cuttler 1000 v.s. 09 xp 800 ?

Which would you choose? Pros & cons. Pro for m-7 cost $5000 less, more power, used to chassis. Con 4 years older tougher resale, need rebuild next year top end. Xp pro new, 2 year warrenty, easy resale. Con Brp do they really have problems fixed or will i have new sled in shop waiting for backorder parts? Let me know your opinions

yamaha turbo.... the end

would go with the cutler 1000 in your M7. like you said your used to the sled. no learning to ride a new cassie and even if you rebilt the top end next year it will still be cheper. have you ever thought about putting BOOST. on that M7. that would wake her up.

cutler 1000

pro the cutler will have over 200 horse, the doo maybe 150, the cutler is the way to go, a doo isn't even a challenge .

I like my M big-bore, and the Cutler should have LOTS more potential than mine, and your used to the chassis. Only cons: might take a bit to dial in? Longer break-in period? If you're patient with the break-in it should be reliable and run well. seems like the ones who have trouble with them are the ones who get impatient?

Have you had any seat time on the XP's? If you have and like it then the XP would be a clutch it and ride the hell out of it kinda deal. Great stock (SLOW) sled.

If you have not had seat time on the XP I would get some and make up you mind then. They are hard to get use to!

The Cutler's Dragon Cat will be on a hole different level than the stock XP. The 200hp of the 1000 will destroy a 145hp XP!

That being said. The 1000 with twins on it will be a tuners sled. You will have to learn to tune and tinker on it. Its worth it! The M chassis just works better in the mountains!

Doo's are not hard to get used to. The first time I rode one, I wanted one. Not everyone likes the chassis, but for me, it was love at first ride. Don't try to like the REV(like the dude up there ^^:)), if your a Cat man. Ride what you like, and you'll love it!

My view is... more hp, more cheesy grins when you're out climbing the xp's by a mile! Cutler all the way!!

1000

Are you buying a sled with the engine (cutler 1000)or building it?Xp z are nice, if they have the clutching issues figured out.
I may be interested in the sled if you don't want it.I have NOT heard a bad thing about the culter engines! My understanding is they are virtually BULLET proof!

Glad to hear that you guys are so impressed with the cutler motor. Just bought mine in an 05 M7 chassis from MMSports a couple of weeks ago. Kevin really hooked me up with a good deal. Can't wait for it to snow!!

Remember you have 3 head insert choices. Pump gas, mixed race/pump, and straight race gas. If you do the straight race gas head insert that is what Cutler claims.
