Hey guys I am looking for some help. I have a 12 M 1100 T. I am having trouble with it. I had it on the stand and started it and it ran and idled fine. shut it off. Let down the stand and it would not start. Just turn over and pop once. If i touch the throttle and turn it over it fires but wants to take off. I traced the throttle cable down and it don't seem to be hanging up. I have to shut it off right away but it won't idle unless i am touching the throttle.

Any idea's

Is your throttle cable adjusted correctly?

Maybe you have a stuck injecter. I would not say that just lowering it off the stand would have any effect on anything. I have heard that some turbo sleds have additional injectors to protect against a lean conditions when you start to build boost. It would explain why it would not start up or idle but as soon as you open the throttle a bit it would fire up and take off

Not sure how you would check for something like that.
Just throwing out ideas here. I would think that a stuck throttle cable would not hamper starting the sled up but certainly would explain the sled wanting to take off once it fires up.

Remember tht cats have the safety in the throttle so if the cable sticks and u fall off it will pop and sputter usually die out. So if u throttle is sticking that would explane it not wanting to start unless ur touching te throttle Maybe ur throttle body is sticking ? Just got mine hadn't tore into it to see how it works yet but have seen a similar situation and turned out the butterfly was stuck open enough to trigger the saftey and wouldn't start

My TApex was similar to those symptoms and it turned out to be a bad tps sensor, which they we're know for, which is why I always carried one. It was showing ecu a 50% throttle position at idle so would run with throttle but flood with none. What it has to do with the jack stand i don't know.....

Check this:

When you grab the throttle you should able to hear a little click just as you put pressure on the throttle. A real faint click everytime you push the throttle.

That is the throttle safety switch.

Do you hear that click when you push the throttle?

I noticed in another thread you said you had the ez-jacker on your sled. When I had the ez-jacker (paper weight) on my sled it would not idle/stay running unless I was giving it a little throttle. I took it off and it ran perfect. Hope this helps

These turbos have a funky touchy cable adjustment. You can still have the safety switch work, but the idle running condition will be crap if cable is adjusted TOO TIGHT.

Got her guys....stuck injector was the problem. Got my 215 reflash from evo with my BRV and fan kit all installed. Runs like a champ and ready for winter. Thanks for all the suggestions and help. You guys are the bomb...

Thanks again.
