LTS Feb 2013 Snow Conditions

A nice sight today, Snow. We still have a good base at the house but down at the parking lot the snow's getting thin. I'm hoping for a least a foot or more.

Well they are talking bout 6 inches at 3k and a foot over 6k by Saturday 9 Feb

We will see !!!

Snowed off and on all day yesterday. We got 3". My wife said I was dreaming about getting a foot. I hate it when she right.

Looks like the storms over. A Blue Bird day. The problem is we only got 5" at the most. 8 out this morning so the base is hard as a rock. Out playing in the meadow with the Jeep.

Fun it is. We had a great day. Yes the base is firm. The littie snow we did get smoothed out most of the terrain. The ridges on the other hand were way hard.

We had a great spring like ride this weekend in Feb.. Just started to snow here with 1" so far. Were keeping the fingers cross that we get some good snow out of this storm.

We got a good 12" today. Just got back from a short ride. It's great to have some fresh pow under the sled. Maybe more tonight?

Wow 12" much more than expected.

Tail end of storm suppose to be much more moisture and much more intense.

Last night here in LA very little moisture.

Just right now we had a dumping of 1-2" of rain in 1/2 an hour !

Hail the size of marbles clogged the rain gage !

The new snow made for a great day. We got up to Lola and droped off the back side. Not a track in site. Got in some trees and found some deep pockets of snow. Lets hope we get more snow soon to back this up.

Sorry we didn't run into you. Bob and I were eating lunch at White Rock at 11:45. The "freshy" sure made for a nice ride along with the bluebird day. Catch you on the next go-round.

I was looking at your Lola shot. Attached is a pic I took back on 4/20/2006 from near the same spot, looking towards the Eastside ridge. Good comparison.

We find some deep snow today it was awesome. My son climbing this hill . It was to much for me.

That's a big climb on that wall at Tom's. Glad it all turned out OK.

I don't know about everyone else, but we had a great weekend. The snow stayed fantastic. Still not bad but we need more snow soon. Bummer is its not in the forecast.
