LTS December Snow Conditions 2013

We got 14" of new snow last night here at the house.. This is on top of 7" we got earlier this week. Still snowing this morning. I see some road riding this weekend. It's about time.

I went out for a short ride to the parking lot today. This is a Pic of the 07 road Yuba Pass turn off. The 07 road is still open but people are riding from the parking lot. There is no base to this snow so i suggest staying on the roads. Tomorrow's going to be a cold road ride. 4 degrees out right now.

Riding was great yesterday. Good to get out with friends that I haven't seen all summer. We went to White Rock Lake and found some fresh untracked logging trails. 2 feet+ up top with 1 foot of base. I am still driving my truck in and out of my house. Funny passing snowmobiles coming down the 07 road.

Thanks for the update! New members to this forum- we bought the cabin at Cold Stream on Henness Pass Road this fall, great to find this forum and hope to meet some of our neighbors!

Henness Pass Rd/Cold Stream. You folks should be between the Mt. Lola road and Perrazzo. If so, you're in a great spot. Welcome aboard and hope to see you out on the "white".

Hi Klant, You go 15 miles north on hwy. 89 From Truckee. There is a big parking lot on the left. If you get over stop in and say Hi. I am 9 mile in on the right.

Yep- between Mt Lola trailhead and Perrazzo Mdws- we look forward to meeting everyone! Heading up Sunday - stop in and say hi if you're out riding

Hey, thank you. we are thinking about coming up Sunday, if I get my sled out of the shop (new gears and a check-up). How is the snow holding up?

For the little snow we have it's holding up well with the cold temps. If it gets warm it's all over. With no snow in the next 10 day forecast. Not good.

Had a great weekend. The sun came out and the snow"s melting fast. We found some untracked roads were the snow was still good. On the way back there was a lot more dirt showing. We need more snow before I'am going back out.

Snow flurries expected 18-19 and some more flurries 23rd-24th.
