LT. Dan, 10 year evolution of a 2001 GenII full mod build up.

They Folded, still have his number though. There was a disagreement about what the shop owner was getting per wheel,vs what Mike was selling them for and rather than argue, Mike (superbeast) just shut it down. Miss those guys, affordable parts...... thats a bad idea. :face-icon-small-con[/QUOTE

Hey guys !
Just so the story is straight on Budget Billet, Mike was the salesman period. I gave him total freedom to do what he wanted and I guess he really ran with it !! My wife Dawn was the person behind the scenes doing everything and Im sure a few of you got to deal with her...she is the best ! We still sell wheels but took the website down a few years ago because It still is and always was a hobby business and if anybody is interested they can take it over for our cost of goods. Neither of us have the time to do justice to the products. In spite of no website BB has sold quite a few wheels this year I offered it to Mike so he can really own it but have not heard back !
I just want to set the record straight to all the good people out there !!

Give me a call if anybody is interested in a profitable hobby business for a real low investment.

I haven't seen Pengilly or SuperBeast on here in a LONG time. How is life treating you otherwise?

Those 10" rears you made me in 2002...or 03...stayed on the Holz skid when I sold it to a local guy, who ended up moving to WYO. He put it under a mod skidoo summit or something (older chassis than the REV). Haven't heard a word from him. He was on SW for a while. Can't remember his name.

Been good Scott !
Dawn and myself have been busy like everybody else running in 4 different directions at once ! I bought a 06 M7 from a local guy and plan on coming out to Idaho this winter riding sometime, I hope it works out !! How have you been ?

All good here. I went back and looked....I sold my skid in Jan of 2008, so I ran those wheels for about 5 1/2 seasons. They held up well.

Sold this chassis (without engine) to the_hog in North Dakota.
Look for a watercraft triple in it soon.

After 13yrs of hiding in a shed the evolution of LT Dan continues... It resurfaced this last year and I am now the new owner!

The chassis is largely the same as it was other then the EZ Ryde was swapped out for a 155 Polaris skid.

The sled now has a 180hp 750 PSI reed triple in it. It was a strong runner but I bought this sled with different engine plans in mind.

Introducing LT Dans new engine. A Unionbay 1200 watercraft! It should be around 220HP.

I ordered a power addiction motor plate, it took some cutting and tweaking to get everything clearanced and lined up right. Brad didn't have a 1200 template for a Gen 2 so I had to drill my own holes which is always a little tricky to get them marked in the right spot.

Engine installed! After test fitting and making some new coolant hoses the engine was once again removed as I was missing a major key piece to making this all work.. the pipes. I am having crankshop build me a set and had to mail them my finished motorplate to build off of. It will be at least a month before they get built so it might be awhile before the next update.. In the mean time I will do some cleaning up and maintence on the chassis.

Awesome! Glad to see its still alive and with a WC triple to boot!

I have a set of pipes for that sled if you dont already have some lined out.
I definitely thought about your pipes! Was just a little worried about fitment since they were made for a VES engine in a Edge chassis vs a Non VES in a Gen2.

The biggest difference is the angle of the exhaust port. straight vs. 15 degree angle on the VES cylinder.

You can change the manifold and make the pipes work all the same.

The only downside is when I fit them to clear the VES cap the PTO pipe was a little high up to clear but with the taller hood it worked great.

Its just cool to see another older mod sled brought back to life!
