Lowering a Hawk...

Hey I found the templates for lowering the Hawk but the dimensions are not clearly shown. Does anyone have a goo original of these templates or the dimensions? Look like Michigan Hawk got sick of the internet.

Thanks
TonyC

Ya real cool

Ya look real hard at picture oh wait there is no picture.............. Real cool guys................. go do something, like get the hawks ready to rip on the gnarly snow this season... Must not want any business at this time i guess. later

If thats a jab at A.D. then keep it to your self, frankly they can do what they want. Everything it took to make our machines got more and more expensive and when the main markets dollar take a dive like ours has in the recent years then its time to simplfy.

Think of it this way they have given us Cart Blanche for the future of Snowhawks .

Now does anyone have a good file?

P.S. call the company... Maybe they can talk you into buying something so they can generate some income.

Hey its all good!!!

I gotz nothing against AD or anyone! Im all for it all. But wat i was talking about was Michigan's web site. I went there to check hawk stuff out and it told me to look hard at picture and then there was nothing there and it said to go do something. I just got a kick out of it cause there was nothing there and they like used to sell!!!!!!!!!!!! Thatz all i guess, sorry for the uproar! But it looks like they got it taken care off. Later

Oh sorry for the misunderstanding. I try not to bash and I have heard a bunch of it at AD.

What are the units on the diagram? I would guess Centimeters .
Thanks Michigan!

yes that is metric, multiply the number by 2.54, and that will give you the standard equivalent.
If memory serves correctly the dimensions are 2-3/8", 1-1/2", and 2".
But please double check my numbers before you drill.

Ok well I drilled the hole at 2", 2 3/8", and 1 1/2" which were correct if the diagram is in Decimeters. I put the thing abck to gether and my track is tight as can be with no further adjustment on the back bogeys, what went wrong?

Help

please call me if you can help 646 462-1298
Thanks

Here is the work... The measurements were done under the assumption that the dimension on the diagram were in decimeters.

After settling down and having some food I realized I never put the limiter straps on it so th swing arm was taking up any slack in the track. I installed the strap and I seem to have some slack in the track but not a lot. I am pretty positive you do not need as much slack in the track with the swingarm in a more horizontal position. There is almost a 1/2 inch clearance between the track and the cooler.. I think I am ok...
Please tell me I am ok..

Would you drill another set of holes I my first set is not correct?

Your holes *look* okay. If your holes are off, they may only be off a fraction. I bet that can be compensated for(rider). only question, is suspension geometry correct with new holes?

Not sure what you mean by suspension geometry, but the track has some clearance at in the tunnel. Other than that it looks ok...

The real question in all of this is what are the units for the diagram, I am under the assumption it is in decimeters so x 2.54 brings the dimensions to 2, 2 3/8 and 1 inch..

Did you lower your Hawk and your holes are close to what I have?

Thanks

This has been shown to be untrue, the dimensions on these templates are in inches. Do not do conversion like I did.

Is there any other holes or parts that have to be relocated for shocks ect.i havn't really looked yet. I thought my 503 was high enouph and I'm 6' so i might want to lower the 600 as well
