Lower A arm bolt removal

I have a serious problem. I was reinstalling the bolts for my a arms, specifically the back bolt on the lower A arm that threads into the nut that sits in the front plate of the chassis. The threads got stuck and the nut started spinning inside the plate. I've tried to jam a screwdriver in between the plate and the nut to keep it from spinning but the threads are locked so tight that the nut keeps spinning and is stripping. Anybody have a trick on how to keep this dammed nut from spinning so I can break the threads? I hate how Doo engineered this grade 8 nut to be held from spinning by enclosing it with aluminum and making it impossible to get a socket or wrench on it.:face-icon-small-fro

what i usually do is use a vicegrip and clamp the aluminum down hard on to the flat sides of the nut. It works most of the time, also if you can get an impact swivel socket on the bolt it might help.

Good Luck
