on what bike?
2018 kx 450
so from what I understandwhat is stator output? wondering how ewe determined 36 works and 40 don't?
Mine are 0 watts.
Cost $25 from Home Depot.
You could get a trail tech stator. That’s what I did.

you say stator is 36 watts? then a 36 watt grip heater wont work as the fuel pump typically take 30 watt by itself ?
Maybe just get a normal set and don't wire up the high side. Just run them on low. You could do this with the heat demon ones since they have 2 circuits through the heater, not one of those cheeseball ones with the giant ceramic resistor. I would imagine that anything that has a low enough power requirement won't put out any more heat than the heat demon on low anyways.
heat demon on low circuit is 30 watts use Red and blue wires only,
I heard of someone sanding down handlebar and putting a thin layer of cork form the craft store between the bar and heat element to help keep the heat off the bar and onto the grip.
Ya aluminum tube sanded and a supersoft thin grip might make its way on if I try real hard. I have been looking at adding a battery but with all the stuff we have going on with this bike we are very limited on space. plus I am not 100% confident in doing the battery myself. Might want some direction from someone with experience doing this before I start hacking into a harness.Good call for those that don't have sleds . When they introduced aluminum bars to the sleds the hand warmers that once worked no longer could put out the heat because of the aluminum . Some manufactures had a solution and the corking of the heated grip was one of them .
Making it work on the twist will take some extra attention .
regular snowmobile grips and use LO. or plumb coolant in uour bars.
