Low Buck Enclosed Trailer Secrets!!

for traction assists up the doors use old drive belts, cut to length and screwed to the door mine have been on for years look and work great.

also search on here for a similar thread for trailer ideas. I have pictures of using a treadmill belt to cover the gap when the doors are open so you dont have to clean out the snow. I have a few track belts for sale also.

great ideas people.

I use milk crates to hold tools, paper towels, quarts of oil, trash bags, etc.. gotta use real crates, the cheap ones shatter when cold

self tapping screws in the metal step & door threshold are great for traction

just bought a used rv furnace to install
FYI: 1 gallon of LP = 91550 BTU, therefore a 30k btu furnace will run for 3 hours on a gallon of LP, running constantly

.

I screwed in 2 eye hooks about 18" apart across 3 "studs". I then got 4 black bungee cords and use them to strap in my lawn chairs above the fenders on the passenger side of the trailer. Light, easy to use and keeps them out of the way.

If you need low draw bright lights, check out http://www.commandelectronics.com They have everything you could ever need to light up the inside or outside of your trailer and they stand behind their product 100%.

Also, I've got 6 fluorescent lights mounted on the roof that have 12" of conduit in between them. I heated up a hanger with a heat gun and turned the hook 90 degrees so I can hang gear from the conduit!

Got these at Fred Meyer and they work awesome.
The last set of pictures dissappeared so I'm re-posting and adding a few.
I also added a "Blue Flame" 30,000 BTU furnace in it and it will literally cook you out of the trailer on setting 2 (of 10)

go to menards by some cheap wire shelves to go along side one whole wall to hold gas cans/helmets. add another light or 2 or 3 and add old tracks/hyfax for traction on the ramp. would also be nice to have a heater but we dont spend much time in the trailor

My 2008 Mirage Xtreme Snow trailer came with factory "insulation". It's a thin layer of bubble wrap; foil-bubble-poly. The reflective foil side faces the outside.

Anyone rely on this type of barrier with their RV furnace?

trackv2 why do you have your sleds covered up while their in an enclosed?

Oh, and for easy to us lights just cut holes into the roof and BOOM a flood of light. This accessory also helps prevent your head from hitting the top in most areas

The new Honda EU3000 quiet run generator. Weighs 67 lbs and runs 13 hrs on a tank of gas. PM for pricing.

Satelite Radio and CD player are on of the best things I did.

I used some belting from an old baler for the ramps, the sleds get good traction on those hyfax strips, but your boots don't.
