Love my MH snow check RMK!

I checked a white 163" RMK, when I got it home I installed 20/46 gearing a par 13:1 head, my old ceramic coated factory pipe, SLP tq stop, and a HPS can. Just got back from my first trip. Couldn't be happier. Sled ran great I was pulling 8300 rpm @ 7000' +/- running the factory springs with one delrin in the secondary and 62 gram (63.2g on scale) 10s series poo weights. I brought my temp gun and checked the clutch temps, After some hard playing in a bowl my secondary clutch was 100F, another guy in the group running a completely stock 155' 15 rmk had a temp of 214F! I am not sure what makes the biggest difference but the set up works for keeping the clutch temps down, and will pay for itself in belts I'm sure!

Climbing on a really long pull I would actually see the rpms climb form 8200 to 8300 rpm, with the warming of the pipe. The other guys were seeing there rpms fade due to hot clutches IMO. I was seeing anywhere from 37mph to 42mph track speed depending snow and grade

Another thing on the last day we were heading up a whooped out trail with lots of hard setup snow and i was passing all the over heated pro's, I only stopped once to wait for my co riders and piled some snow on the tunnel I had hit 159F.

Same sled but 155"

Like the black tunnel, mine is white. Have only ridden it a few times, but am thinking black would have been a better option. Boot marks and grime show up right away. Considering puling the red stickers off the hood/side panels and going all white and black. Nice ride.....can't wait for real snow.

Very nice.

Is the only difference in your clutching vs. the other sled that had 214' that you are running a washer?

yup a single delrin, I put it between the cup and the spring didn't know I could put it under the cup... His sled was a 155 stock except for a Hps can, mines a 163". Oh one more thing we both have the thunder products Glide washers in our primaries.

The derlin might help some I would say the gearing down made the bigger difference in clutch temps if the 155 was stock gearing.

I think the tq stop helps, and the ceramic pipe helps keep the under hood temps down and definatly don't hurt. But i attribute most of the reduction to gearing as well. I never even thought of the delrin helping, i installed it for the back shift, but i suppose if it helps reduce slippage it should help keep temps down...

Damn i wish they offered these in 2014. I actually wish the assault had a bulk head cooler, its for spring conditions.... Stupid. I would be running a 163 assault lol
