I know that loud is NOT good. However I have a buddy who is looking for the loudest can available for his 2009 800R XP that he just ordered. He previously had an 07 summit 800R with an HPS can and this was not loud enough for him. I know, I know, loud doesn't help our sport. I have an 07 600 sdi summit with an HPS can which he claims is much louder than his 07 800R was and that pissed him off for some reason. I've been told that the 800R had a baffle in the pipe for performance or emmisions reasons. Sooooo, let me have it fellas, I know there are loud xp's out there so give my buddy a little help with making his ears bleed from all the noise his can will belt out this winter.

i know that i shouldnt be in the ski-doo forum but i suggest he takes the stock can then cut off the pipe coupler then have a exhaust shop bend and weld on some stainless steel 3in pipe with a tunnel exit....or just another hps can..

Tell him to try a slp.

funniest thing i have ever heard right there slp i think is quieter then stock lol...... he can build his own 6 inch diesel stack off a semi bout 10 inches long with a pipe with a slight bend welded to the can with no baffling was diffanitly my loudest exhaust.... id probally do it again next time to...:D

MBRP Cans are about as loud as they come. Fill your bathtub with water and soak the can overnight in it then install it and fire up your sled. Will blow all the stuffing out and be about as loud and annoying as they come.

Sad part is that it is used so appropriately here... loud cans scream "I'm a dumbazz" every time you pull the cord...:face-icon-small-dis

What he said^^^^^

You ever see those high school kids with coffee can mufflers on their 1989 Honda CRX that sound like a weed wacker, and when they pull away from the stop light in an oil burning cloud of smoke, everyone laughs at them?

haha or when you go to the friday night drags and those annoying rice burners are beating 69 camaros and what not lol

U want LOUD?

The stock pipe does have internal baffles in it. This is why the R engines are as quiet as they are. To make it bark install a CPI pipe or a DYNOPORT pipe. They have have no baffles. With these pipes any can is loud just like on the ol' H.O. motors. Just note that there is really no gain in power over the stock pipe just noise.

Thanks guys. I can't get it through my buddy's thick head that a quiet sled that rips is better than a loud sled that losses HP over stock. Why does a loud sled seem to make you think that it is faster?
