Lose RPM then bogs

I have a 2011 Pro. Everything runs perfect until it hits tempature, then it goes from 8200 down to 7200 with a serious bog. Have it at my dealers and they can't find a problem.Have basically pulled the engine apart and can't find anything wrong. Compression good , wiring good, valves good , everything checks out. Ran strong all last year, did a complete summer matinance.Anone else have a problem like this? Any input would be great. Thanks

troubleshooting

check the coolant temp sensor. If it works similar to the older ones it will pull a crap load of timing and not rev out. You may have to ohm it at temp in a boiling pot of water to prove it. Dealer should have one you can swap into it and try though... You cannot just unplug it to check, it needs to see a certain resistance. SLP and polaris used to make a bypass with a resistor to troubleshoot, but I am not sure about the cfi's. Something to mention anyways.

If that does not work, maybe it is the injectors, have heard of a few going bad but very hard to diagnose...

Are you running the ethanol plug? If your not I would try the ethanol plug.... it adds fuel.
It sounds like your not getting enough fuel. Also I would try a different exhaust probe.

Have you checked both clutches?

Running 91 oct . Everything apart and now back together, still the same. I love my pro ,but, I thought I loved my Dragon too until the 4th motor went in.

I would try a new temp sensor like stated above. If indeed this starts after it reaches full temp, that should be the problem and they are not much money.

I just bought a used 2011 with 1,005 miles took it for its first ride today on the trail... Did kind of the same thing, mine ran awesome for 3-5 miles than the rest of the ride it wouldn't go over 7200. Even when I let mine cool down it still ran like crap!!

Any other ideas ???

Been there done that... If it revs up then bogs you are hitting the rev limiter (even if you don't think you are) change clutching. If it misses/bogs then comes back you've got an injector issue. It could also be stuck in limp mode?

Please answer the questions that I ask previously...... what plug are you running?
Am not running eth plug. I have 1150 clicks on it. Like I said it ran awsome last year . Changed temp sensor, fuel filter , checked clutches, pretty well all but the motor. Crazy, haven't got a clue . Dealer can't find what's up either.Thank goodness for 4yr warrenty, but she's snowing like crazy and delt with all this with my Dragon. Makes for a long 14000.oo winter

use the memory feature and record it..you can look at the playback and will be able to see it when it hits the limiter...if it shows anything over 8200 on memory..I would add at least 1 gram of weight....

I had a similar problem with mine. Riding yesterday in deep powder, go stuck a couple times so it was working hard. Was running fine until out of the blue I started it, all the dash lights started to blink randomly, not indicating any sort of code and it suddenly seemed like it was only running on one cylinder. Flipped it on it's side to clear the track and clean out the engine, back fired a couple times, no change. Buddy's suggested snow in the intake, or possibly worse, blown piston.
Any thoughts?

Been there done that...If it misses/bogs then comes back you've got an injector issue.

Rode my first ride yesterday and that's happening to my '11. Had a couple days towards the end of last year that were the same thing. It usually will only do it from a rolling start, grab a handful and it bogs then revs. From a dead start it seems to run all the way out. Listening to rpms, it's definitely not the rev limiter. So if it's injectors, will they replace under warranty, and if so, will it be the updated ones?? BTW I have the 4 yr.

i'm bettin injector issues, especially if its a early 2011, ie silver snocheck.
Just slam a new set in for a test

Assume you're updating for pokey. Thanks for the update. One more reason to keep a watch on the VES. Important to clean them, too, the right way. Many former doo riders with the non-e RAVE's are pretty spoiled, very simple, low maint, and effective system. Easy to look past it with all the injector, TPS, TSS, spark plug wire, and rev limiter dribble.

Bog Problem Found

Thanks to all for your input to my problem. Electrical issue. This sure shows the knowledge of our sledding community here on Snowest. Again thanks to all.:face-icon-small-ton:face-icon-small-ton:second::second:
