Looking to buy helmet

I don't know about a $100 helmet, but I have a 509 helmet and it was only $180.00, and the combo with sinisters was like $220.00. It works great for me, this will be my 3rd season with it and still in great shape. I am on my 2nd visor on the helmet but they covered that on warrenty. I think there are some good mid priced helmets out there if you look around.

It is more a question of what is a quality helmet, and what is not. There are tons of good deals out there on quality built helmets that are discontinued and on sale in that price range. With that said, generally it is going to be a quality product between the 150-200 range. And at that price level you should be able to use it for a couple years and not wear it out too badly. We have a great selection of helmets in that 130-200 range that work amazingly well in the snow industry and do not break the bank, even some SNELL rated lids in that price range.

So to answer your question, the helmet makes the price, the price does not make the helmet, and sometimes you can find a killer helmet at a great price!

My vote would be a 509 Helmet! I am on my second season and it is holding up really well! They are really good about warrantying things and have good customer service!

We normally do not post on here with brands or sales pitches, but prefer to just ask questions. But the 509 helmet and goggle combo has been popular as Ryan-41 has mentioned. When you but them both you save $25.00 with the code "509COMBO" at checkout.

509 HELMETS

509 GOGGLES

But in case you are not set on a brand, here is more or less everything we have in stock, or available at the moment.

BLOWN MOTOR HELMET INVENTORY

Hope that helps out!!

Try some different ones on. You will probably feel more comfortable in certain ones vs others. I have the HMK Fly one. Really like it. Can't really put a price tag on your noggin. But you should be able to find a good one for $200-$400.

Most helmets are gonna have a minimum of a DOT approved rating even at the lowest price levels. Most times you are spending more money you are not spending it on protection you are spending it on features....extra vents types of padding / material, carbon / kevlar shells to reduce weight, etc, etc. I have a lot of $80- $90 helmets that see more use in a season of rentals than most individual helmets will see in a lifetime and they hold up just fine. Find the protection rating you prefer and pay for the features you are willing to pay for.

On that note, I think for me personally a lightweight helmet with a carbon / kevlar shell are worth every penny. Less fatigue throughout the day, less whiplash on rougher drops really pay off. They are a lot of money, but if you ride agressively they are sure nice to have on your head!

I have run HJC in the past. good helmet at a great value. pass snell testing. I am currently running a Fly F2 I like it a lot. I am going to get a second one for dirt riding

I have been using Troy Lee Designs helmets for sometime now as I find them to be very comfy, not too heavy and very durable. I have one that's going on its 7 th season I used it for 5 years and now it's a loaner and it's still in great shape.

I am also in the market for a new helmet my HJC is going on its tenth season . So I took a trip to my local dealer here in town and tried on some helmets Fly Kinetic and a 509 both in the same price range . I must say the 509 looked more finished on the inside than the fly . Than I called around to see what is available in our area . Then off to the net where I found a number for AFX so I gave them a call, very informative but they kept trying to sell me a duel sport helmet (one step down from a modular ).
Back to the web and see what HJC has to offer after 10 years . Well now I have to decide which graphic I like on my new HJC snow CL-X6 or just go Matt black .
Only down fall is I have to order off Amazon because no one offers them in our area since Helmet Outlet burned down. I guess I ought to order some Scott goggles while I am there since they seem to hold up better than my 509s.
This is just my opinion of coarse but as I look back at how many crashes and tree encounters I have had with my HJC and it still feels good looks good and is still functional on the same visor why switch .
PS still have the Scott goggles I bought with the helmet but now they are loners for my friend when their lens coating is rubbing off their 509s.
I put on around 800 to 1000 miles a season here in Idaho most of it is off trail.

BeamSlayer we are in CdA and one of the largest retail companies in the US now for snow gear haha, you can order from us online, or come into the store and order, not to mention we carry another 100 brands as well.

Hey that's great . You better go to the HJC web page and inform them you sell HJC because you do not come up in the search . I would just as soon give you my business . It looks like a trip to Blown Motor in the near future . What sizes to you have in store ?
I will try and bring along some friends also that just started riding and need some gear .
When are you moving to the new store ?
