Looking for someone to show us around

Me and 2 friends will be in colorado staying near Kremling starting the 26 th of december, looking to ride every day for a week, any riding area suggestions would be great . as well if there are any guys that know area well that would be interested in riding with us I'm sure we could work something out. 2 experienced riders and one novice..

If your staying in Kremmling ride rabbit ears, park in the muddy creek lot and point the sled north. Ride it like you stole it bring a gps and set your way points. Area is huge with all good riding

Bring avy gear and know how to use it. The best tool is your judgement, try to resist those pristine slopes during avy conditions....live to ride another day.

Looking forward to the trip,'still looking for a guide for a day or two to get us going, fun group of safe but adventurous riders. Anyone know current snow conditions in the area?

Rode Rabbit Ears yesterday. It was a fun time with the family, and a few break in miles on my new sled, but it's pretty sketchy conditions. There's an ice layer an inch or so below the surface, about 1/2" thick. Definitely needs more snow, but that ice layer may wreak havoc with avy conditions if/when we do get more. Nothing noticeable in the forecast, but if we do get a dumping, stay off the slopes, and be smart.

I think the current snow conditions all over Colorado are low, and melting. In the central mountains we're at about 70% of normal right now and the Northern Mountains aren't that much better.

10 day doesn't look very good right now. Above average temps and below average precipitation.

not 100% sure yet...but I am looking to be in Grand Lake Jan 5th and 6th...been to GL many times...would love to see some backcrountry with the '14 Freeride!
