Looking for pics of cold air intake on carbon fibre hood?

I'm putting a carbon fibre hood on M1100T and would like to see some pics or get some info or ideas of what works best to get as much cold air as possible into the turbo???

Pod through the hood close to the turbo?

Pod through the hood up behind the windshield by the gauge?

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Do you already have the hood?

We posted pics of our carbon fiber 1100 build last year that put it up top. I have posted several pics of the thru the hood style bd collapsible can that puts it beside the headlight. I personally run a cf with intake plenum build into the bottom where the light would good. And then cut holes and frog skin the outside as your intake. Cut a hole in the plenuim for the 2.5 from the turbo and done. Very similar to my '12 for air intake on the hood I built.

Pics

Looks good.
Thanks guys.
I did another search and found some more pics of the pod through the hood but would like to see some pics of the pod up higher behind the windshield by the gauge.
Is anyone running this setup???
Any advantage or disadvantage?

I did that on the white/pink M800 in the background. You have to run a base model guage, it won't fit with the sno pro guage so you will need to swap.
It's a direct intake on top of the turbo the way I have mine on the 1100T, so ideal in my opinion. More piping/restriction etc routing it up to the hood like on the 800.

Mine...

is further back. I used the stock 90* intake tube with a 3-2.5" reducer and tight radius 3" pvc 90 with a BD filter.

Have to move he gauge to make room for the 4" pod between it and the windshield. In the snow over the hood days it is the ultimate, just requires making the plumbing up to that spot. Done a few.

Thanks

Great job guys.
Thanks for the pics.
Would still like to see more pics if there are any more options out there???

That looks frickin awsome!!. I have a cold air intake through the hood but I love how low yours sits and how nicely finished it looks. That is a great looking sled.

Thank you very much! I made the hole nice and small so the hood was nice and right around the filter, but then you couldn't lift the hood off and on, so the die grinder had to come out and make the hole bigger.

Here's a couple pictures of mine:

On a side note why are the shocks on the front sled upside down????
On a another side note. You have three new turbo sleds and a dodge viper and you are 28 years old????? UUUUUMMMMM I am in the wrong industry. I need to be doing whatever you are doing.:face-icon-small-hap

Not knocking ya. Must be nice!

The ole fashioned way

On a side note... BADACR probably narrowed the front sled and the reservoir had to go to the bottom to make the shock fit. On another side note... he may have made his money the ole fashioned way, he may have inherited it!

Now now boys lol. My buddy works exceptionally hard and plays hard. 1100 and an slp 800. Not too crazy.

All it takes is getting self employed and working 65 hours a week.....easy right?:face-icon-small-win
