Looking for opinions on a 04 1M 800

Good day, I have an opportunity to trade my 2000 700 RMK straight accross for a 2004 1M 800. Wondering what these 1M are like, good and bad.

Thanks in advance

Kind of a dated sled, but overall pretty solid and I would say you would be ahead to trade the 700 RMK for the 800 1M.

I am a cat guy so of course I think its better. But honeslty I think it is.

Just make sure you aren't getting junk unless yours is junk also.

Nobody else have an opinion obout this sled?

my riding buddy has an 01 RMK 700 and I've got an 03 MC800. We've stretched his out to a 151, drop brackets, extroverts, bar risers and jetted and its definitely now comparable to my 800EFI (some mods as well). I do think I can pull a little harder than him but maybe I'm biased :)

Depends on the condition of the sleds...if your RMK is in good condition and runs well and you know the history of it, then why not hang onto it an do some mods, if you havne't already. Otherwise, get with the cool kids and get a CAT :)

Nobody else have an opinion obout this sled?

I have 2 2004 900cc 1M's, 159's. They have been excellent sleds. Sometimes I think of selling them for newer sleds but they have been so good and are still fun to ride I keep talking myself out of. I have never had problems with them. I have handlebars raised / cans / anti-stab kits (probably did not need on these but did them anyway).

Polaris to cat

I went from a custom polaris that i modded ( tunnel, rolled chain case, 159 track, pipes reeds head you get the point) and went to a 01 mountain cat 800. They are two totally different sleds. I like my cat better than my Polaris because you can do powder turns easier and other thing case the a arm instead of trailing arm. My bro has the better of our Polaris's and he still cant do the things that i can with my cat and his dosent pull as hard as my cat. So in my opinion you would be better off trading unlees the cat is beat and your Polaris is nice

I also extended the track on my Poo to a 151. The only problem is the MC 1M 800 has a blown engine. Not sure what happened but the guy is going to repair the damage, the sled looks new. The sled is to much for this guy so I offered to trade when things are all fixed and tested out.

Any other opinions on suspension and handling. I can get my Poo to do alot of things.
