Looking for new Helmet? 509, Poo, Doo, AFX, Klim?? Choices

I had such a hard time deciding on a new helmet this year, so I bought 2 of them! the 509 and a Klim. If you buy a Klim, call them and tell thim you want last years breath box, the new one sits up way to high on the face. I love both of them!

a post for the kevlar/carbon fiber fly. . ..just look at the inside of the helmet and it stands out. . .put it on and it fits like the proverbial glove. .the best feeling/fitting helmet I've ever worn.. .and at 400 bucks retail. . I paid 150 at haydays..

Please post when your going to ride....
:wof:

There are some benefits to not having a schedule to keep. Feed cows before sunrise then head up to the mountains - we usually have some bluebird conditions between storms. It's way more fun that way...

ok but why? What makes it better than say an AFX for $90ish? I seriously want to know? Are they really "molded" to their goggles better?

They fit my head the best out of all the brands and it has a visor warranty Priceless for mee

I had HJC's for many years without any complaints. After that I bought a 661. I liked the fit, but the helmet was very cold for some reason all the way back past my ears. I only had that one year. Last year for Christmas I got a Shoei from the g/f. I never would have probably spent that much on a helmet myself, but I will have to say it was money well spent........for her HaHa. After having it I would spend the 5 bills again if I ever had to replace it. It is by far the most comfortable helmet I've ever had on. Maybe it just happens to fit my head good, but I can wear it all day and not even know I have it on. If you are looking at Shoei I would check out competition accessories online. I think they are the cheapest Shoei dealer out there

I just blew 230$ on a HJC helmet, breathbox, and a set of spy goggles with 2 different color lenses. I think for the money I paid it will it worth what I spent

I tried my new Klim helmet this past weekend in -17C.

Pros:
Looks badass
Dry head thanks to the venting (A little cool without the included wind liner).
Included nose gaurd prevented goggles from fogging, even while spending 15min climbing a hill on foot.
Comfortable on my head

Cons:
Nose gaurd is a bit tight on my nose --> uncomfortable, but functional

Klim for me ... the massive amount of venting helps keep my sweaty noggin stay cool.... cooler I should say. No other helmet comes close in cooling capacity.
